I just started playing a couple of days ago, and I'm going to become a Bruiser at 20. I'm curious as to what their most important stats are in order. I'd assume strength or agility increases damage and stamina would be more health. Do wisdom and intelligence actually do anything for a Bruiser?

![]() Order of importance is subject to play style. It depends on how you will play your bruiser. Agility = avoiding attacks and is important for tanking as a bruiser Stamina = Hit points which is always important Strength = Power pool modifier and damage modifier. Especially important when playing as a DPS type Wisdom = Resist modifier. More important as you get higher in levels. Really only truly important when raiding Intelligence = Useless. I play quite a bit. I'm 90% of the time solo or tanking. For this I've tried to keep my agi and str up as a priority. Sta is the next value I'm looking for. At 51 with no fabled equipment (I don't really raid at all), and only self buffed I'm just above 200str 200agi, and 150sta. I would gladly give up 20-30 str for sta but there just doesnt seem to be available gear out there worth trading up for. |

![]() my suggestion...be prepared to fill multiple roles while being a bruiser. role number 1- tank have plenty of agi and stamina on hand. hex dolls for these stats improve your hps and agility. 2% agility increase doesnt sound like alot but would you want a 54% chance of succeeding or 56% chance? imbued rings or agility and stamina. another great extra bonus of sta or agi. adds another 10 stamina and 10 agi. agility/stamina poitions- can be bought from broker made by alchemys...they are your friends. an extra 20 or so agility/stamina isnt bad so by having all this gear with you.....you have raised your stamina by 30+ and same wtih agility defenisve stances- need to be at least adept quality. adept 3 and master are greatly needed if available. same with taunts and mitigation buffs role number 2- dps/off tank having str based agility dolls greatly increases your damage you are able to do. increasing your over all dps shielding stances- increases main tanks avoidance. a great buff to have at all times on the mt. they get hit less meaning less healing always a good thing. offensive stance/combat arts- increases dps..adpet quality is mimium. adpet 3 and masters should be sought after...they are your pride and joy for doing great damage. str imbued rings and str potions. just a great thing to have at all times. bottom line...you are able to fill 2 cruical roles needed in any group. be prepared at all times to take on either role. now if you cannot afford all this stuff its ok. not everyone is rich...i am not...but dotn waste your money on things you dont need. buy the bruiser essentials first and foremost. you might see numerous ppl with the glitz and glamor or all the things you cannont afford. but it pains me to see all the ppl who buy that stuff and have not cared for their equipment or spells and are not able to be an adequet force on the battlefield. remeber its not how fast you got to the mob..or how shiny your armor is..its how fast you take them down! |

![]() /Concur with the previous posters. I played my 50 Monk with pretty balanced stats- -this was/is the received wisdom from people like Gaige and Bonesbro, both of whom know about this sort of thing. You know what though? Even though it's good advice I kinda sorta found it a bit boring after 50 levels. I wanted to be the polar opposite of the Guardians lumbering around in their heavy armour, to see how far you could go in the DPS direction before becoming unable to tank. So with my sparky new 45 Bruiser, I'm loading up on the STR and letting the AGI and STA fall where they may. This will probably come back to bite me in the [Removed for Content] on raids, but for now I'm a prime example of familyguyfan95's second archetype, the 'take 'em down fast' Bruiser. It's probably not as sensible as the balanced approach - but it's definitely exciting to bulldoze through mobs with as much force and speed as possible, knowing you're in a race to rip your opponent into bloody little portions of ex-mob before you get knocked down or run out of power. Plus it has the added advantage of kind of being like a proper fight, where you hurt your opponent as possible before they even know they [Removed for Content] you off. Also don't let anyone tell you that offensive STR-based tanks can't tank. They can - you just need a group with a steady nerve and who are focused on moving fast. |

![]() If you plan to solo, asmost people do for the first 40 lvls or so, then get all the STR gear and upgrade your offensive stance & attacks first (doesnt matter how much hp/avoid/mit you have when you're fighting solo con things, only how much damage you can do), and of course later on if/when you plan to be a main tank in a group, go for STA and AGI and prioritize your defensive skills.
