How is Bruiser today?

Beside having a realy crappy "fun" spell How would you rate bieng a Bruiser. Do you feel more like a heavy handed thug or a Marial artist? Are the rest of your animations decent. I'm interested in the feel of the class not just stats. I realy like to dish out DPS with the scout classes so far and want to make a new fighter. I tryed a warior once but it seemed a bit slow going for me. I enjoyed carrying the big sword but i dont feel the need to encase myself in heavy armor. Well you get my drift. i would apreciate your opinions on this.

im having fun being a bruiser .. and to be honest .. i dont pay much attention to the animation .. im too busy looking at pretty orange number that fly above the mobs head ... joy =)

I love my bruiser...

Heavy handed thug that uses some martial arts as a means to an end - that's what I am.

Monks look nice and pretty, but bruisers get the job done. :smileywink:

Love it also. With all the changes to the class (giving us innate shields and a great ae taunt) we are better able to fulfill the role of tank than we could. It seems to be a late-blooming class in that pre-level 30, you get shredded by mobs.

Not really sure why a bruiser would not be considered "martial arsy." There are many martial arts that resemble American boxing. I am a black belt in American Kenpo Karate, and my bruiser reminds me of my art. And yes, being able to outdmg many other classes is nice.

If you take on the class, don't expect to really do well until 30+.

I was loving it..Yesterday..all my troubles seemed so far away, now I need a place to hide my armor away.. But yeah, they just keep on beating down bruisers until theres nothing left but a second rate monk in flamboyant pink or brown armor, changing into a piece of wood or waving his fists around a bit and sitting there at 40 looking like they were crapped on by a thousand beavers and barely survived. Its a sad time to be a bruiser, i do the walk of shame everyday, every d*mn day..thanks for ruining us SOE.

yeah, one star, great, but ask any bruiser and they wont be happy about the changes ive mentioned and the 40th level abilities.

who cares about the lv20 AQ armor, buy tier3 crafted armor if you dont like the look, or just wait til lv30 and buy tier4 armor.

yeah, our lv40 and lv50 " fun " spells aren't so fun, but it doesn't affect how bruisers do their jobs, it just saves you some gold cause you wont buy the spells.

other then the 2 points you made in your post, there is nothing wrong with the job or how those 2 things would affect the way we rock.

except one thing..RP, I play on the rp server, the old bruiser gear was rp gear, the fun abilities would have been rp abilitiies and theres no specific bruiser looking gear out ther besides aq really and theres a complete lack of rp gear in general.
