Hey my fellow monks, I play on Nagafen so I cant pop in serverwide monk channel at the ease of a keystroke, so let me apologize if this has already been asked. Well, like I said I play on Nagafen and lets put it this way, great monk gear isnt just falling out of mobs pockets here. Being under geared is quite common because the equipment just isnt out there yet. That being said, I play a 70 monk with 43 aa currently. I am 4-4-8 str, 4-4-8 sta, and 4-4-1 int atm.I love unarmed dps, especially on a server where there really isnt better available yet, the dps is amazing.  I have read these forums alot, and really havent seen to much and how 2handers compare against that unarmed spec.  I understand that I would need a ridiculous 2 hander to completely match the unarmed build I currently have, but I would definetly be willing to lose a little dps to have a 2 hander. My question is how much would I lose parse wise if I made the switch to 2 hander AA's with a grizzle fazzle staff?  Also, how does the 2 hand aa line compare? Is it worth respeccing for? What would be a good 2hand spec? Any info is appreciated. Thanks in advance. Maphia 70 monk/65 tailor Sempiternal Nagafen

Really you shouldn't see much of a difference provided you have a decent 2 hander, I switch out between dw/2h where it's appropriate.  I've found that with a 2h you can time your abilities out better making you more effective for tanking, and I also so far have enjoyed the 2h more fore dueling healers just because if you play your cards right you can stile them first hit, land a few nasty blows and have them to low orange before they can get back up, still a tough fight but it's a lot of fun.

I bet the STR line is making a big difference in the unarmed aspect of your monk though. Using a weapon will negate the benefits of the STR line if you equip weapons, if I am not mistaken. I'm partial to using DW weapons. Just love them. =)Masuimi
