In response to where the gems drop, I've gotten quite a few of these off of random mobs in KoS. I have no idea how they are used to get this relic armor, but judging by the quality of the item that KnowHao depicted, its something that I won't be able to get my hands on in my guild. It has raid written all over it.

gems are random from wooden chests all over, armor pieces are from x4 raid zones. Npc is in sol eye.

NPC is in Sols Eye by the huge forges, it is by an entrance to another zone within Sol but I cant think of the name right now.  He is Nafagen's Weaponsmith.  You have to be lvl 65 for him to speak to you.  I haven't gotten any relic pieces yet so I am not sure how the items are actually created.

This should be flagged for sticky up top.

Omg, a monk only item. The world is ending.  You mean All Scouts, All Priests, All mages can't wear something we can? ...Astonishing!>.. Can't wait to get this stuffs, I have alot of the gems now, just need the armor drops.

Even the Ghastly Gi should be Monk only... mebbe Carapace brusier only, gi monk only, etc (Alteration of stats would be required)... seems like brawlers need a little more breakdown of class only stuffs.

Anyways, thanks for posting the info.

Are we the only class that requires Relic Leather, or will we other classes over the drops like the kael/Thurg/Skyshrine pieces from eq1?

Nope, pretty sure the Chitinous Leather one doesn't have that graphic.

I was told that you need to have completed the Prismatic quest in order to speak with the smith and have the armor made. Can anyone confirm that there is a prerequisite to have this armor made? Thanks SMILEY

A guildie of mine didn't finish the Prismatic quest and he was able to talk to the smith and get his list of gems, so I do not believe its a prerequisite.

I'm just happy there is Bruiser/Monk only gear out there. Besides, a lot of players like the Gi, be they monk or bruiser, and the same goes for that carapace. Making a Gi for each class would be fine, and so on.. because as we know, these are more fun just to wear. SMILEY
