Not to come across as a whiner, but after the patch my stuns are gone? and my one stifle doesn't effect epics now or has it always been that way? I have enjoyed my Monk SOOOOOOOOOOOO much, I am now  level 55 - but after this patch/ninja nerf  -------------- I think I will be playing my 61 Fury full time and hanging my GI up in the closet. Please don't flame me guys, this just so blows. SO llet me understand this --- I am not DPS, I have less mitagation than all other tanks and the one thing that made me unique as a tank was taken away? I am a monk noob - so any veterens that want to tell me I'm totally wrong is cool.

Would it be possible to fix my maintained window Icons?

Why were my 4 second stuns reduces to 1 second? There were no notes on this?

I can sorta live with the shocking hand thing ...........................

What does a monk have to offer a Raid besides FD and an  occasional Tsunami pull?

I understand 2 bruisers stuns were changed and they effect Epics now or is this a botched spell description?

Stuns haven't worked on epics for a looooong time, mainly because they can't take 5 minutes to come up with a fair stun system for epics and just cutting them out completely is a simpler "fix," but that's neither here nor there.  Our stuns actually are fine right now... their durations haven't changed but the descriptions are wrong.  Try it out, stun a mob and run behind him, then see how long it takes him to turn around. As far as what a monk brings to the raiding table, that really depends on your raid make-up.  There's a lot we can do under the right circumstances but there's also a lot other more speciallized classes can do better.  The best thing you can do is try to get involved with your RCs and make sure they know what you are capable of.

I found this great thread with two good links from Devs http://eqiiforums.station.sony.com/eq2/board/message?board.id=7&message.id=14330

I knew the stuns didn't work, but I did think our level 50 Stifle worked on epics---untel after the patch. Or am I wrong ?

Stuns, stiffles, etc haven't worked on epics since the combat update several months ago. SMILEYThe stun durations are just bugged in the description, but work properly. They don't show up in the maintained spell window because they are no longer maintained spells and they are too lazy to make them show up for players. you see, they changed them from maintained spells to plain spell effects because things were dropping off players as soon as you killed the mob that casted the spell. now they stay until you get cured or they expire. So you'll just have to know the duration of your stuns and get a feel for what you can get away with. I've got it setup so that i can stun the mob, and get off all my big attacks from behind before they can even turn around.
