Someone posted the cutest monk hat in this thread!  Is this the new monk profession hat? Here is the picture:Isn't it darling?  Is it the new profession hat, or the ultra-rare raid-mob hat?  Does anyone know?Jen SMILEY

All professions get a hat, they just won't have the majority of them at release. Also, from what I heard our profession hat(monk hat)is more than likly that tan graphic. The armor's [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] hot, tho.

I don't want a hat showing because it won't show my hair. I have put very much effort in an unique hairstyle and I don't want it covered SMILEYSo unless the profession hat has VERY GOOD stats, I won't put it on!

Erm, you should ALWAYS put on a hat. If you don't like the looks, type /showhood to toggle on/off whether the hat should display or not. Note that this setting will let EVERYONE either see or not see your hat. Did you actually NOT know that???

I personally like the hat :o. Granted the armor it comes with is decent :p. While on that note, and even a bit off topic,I wonder how many monks here played a Teras Kasi in SWG.. Had a nostalgia attack and was daydreaming about havingsome of the typically seen Teras Kasi Clothes in this game as high end armor or something :o. Eh? Eh? Bah, Oh well :p.

off course I knew that! I only meant I won't turn on the graphics with /showhood. So I don't care if we get a profession hat or not. I put a helmet in my headslot with the best stats.

Way too many Americans/Euro play.  Nothing new.. it's called a Sakkat, or slang Rice Hat

It's a common headgear peasants use, like farmers and labourers in certain Asian countries.

And DoF has them on them Disciple MOBS.

I'm with you... Nunchak's would be the greatest weapon to have in the game ever. Dual wielding them would be sweet looking.

DoF has them as loot too, off two raid zones.  Those ones are black though, not tan.

This *is* the new monk profession hat.  They generally are legendary or better and drop off at least heroic named.  I haven't found the monk one in beta yet but I assure you that it has the graphic the one above is sporting.

As for the armor.... CAN'T TELL YOU!!!!!!!!!!!

It is hot though huh?

That's the truth...

My wife was so happy the day she learned the "/showhood" command.

Even to this day when she goes afk, I'll sneak over to her keyboard - type in /showhood, zoom in so the helm is the only thing you see on the screen - sit down innocently and wait for her to come back and see that her pretty hair is covered.  I usually end up sleeping on the couch that night, but man is it worth it.  :smileywink:

That. Armor. Owns. Me. In. Every. Possible. Way.

Oh wow. Wow, wow, wow.

Oh, also, is armor in KoS going to be divided between classes again, or will it be more class specific gear like in DoF? (Shoulderpads of Enlightenment)

Wow, that was neat armor. ::smileytongue:

That is some cool looking monk gear he has on.  I wish we had armor available for us with that look specifically.

lol, I guess that's all we can do when it comes to certain monk-oriented armor/gear.  I wish (there's that word again) SOE really looked into the artist's knowledge of each professions traditional wear.  It's really not that hard to pick up a reference book on armor/traditional wear for each individual profession.  I just fail to see the diffculty in that.   Unless this is intentional and beneficial to keep us in anticipation for more profession-oriented gear thus continuously raking in the cash on new subcriptions and maintaining current ones.

The name was PrometheusO.  I was in the guild Ronin and later IDS (Imperial Death Squad).  I remember seeing you around alot but don't think we ever chatted.  I hung out alot with Oryyhn (who was also Omova) Wiske, Drksyd, Reyn, Lauralinda,  Alyssa, Tapion (Ronin) and a few other individuals whose names I can't recall.
