Level 25 monk solo question? Duel wield or 2 hander?

Until reading a little about how haste worked and the cap I thought there would never be a reason to use a 2hander because of how much more damage rating you get with a DW. I was just curious if anyone knew what I should do at level 25. I have master 1 in my tranquil blessing and master 2 in my wisdom of zephyl. I have 2 DW weapons that give 12.5 damage rating and 14.5 respectively. I'v looked for some 2 handers but nothing comes close to that damage rating. Just curious if anyone would like to comment or suggest anything I would really love that . Thanks in advance.

Damage wise DW seems to come out on top. They are close enough that either or would work and you would not hurt yourself by picking one over the other. SOE has seem to have done something I didn't think they would be able to do, balance two handers vs DW.

I would assume though that even if I dw i want to make sure im not being capped by haste at .8 delay right?

Thats seems to be what most thing but I haven't seen anything that 100% confirmed that.. BUT to be on the safe side my weapons will always be 1.6 or higher delay. :smileyvery-happy:

I'm using DW myself too at the moment. Currently lvl 33 and using an Imbued Oak Fighting baton and an Imbued Oak cudgel for some really nice auto attack damage. Both att dam of 21 if I remember correctly. The only thing that I don't see balanced vs the equivalent 2-hander (Imbued Oak Bo-Staff?) is the stat difference. When I DW the stat increase I get from both weapons is way higher than the 2-hander. This was the only deciding factor for me when choosing whether to go DW or 2H.

Am I missing something? I would still love to use a big [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] staff :smileyhappy:

The only weighing factor was being riposted to death with duel wielders while tanking (this was the case in EQ1 anyway) but Moorguard posted that DW now have a lesser chance of being riposted than normal. Now whether this means to around the same level of a 2-hander i don't know, but is it enough of a difference to give up on those stats?

Thanks allot everyone for all the great info, I really appreciate it. I wouldnt mind using a big 2 handed Bo but I cant find one thats anywhere near as decent as my DW weapons.
