As I traveled through the goblin infested lands of the Burning Pillars, it brought joy to my heart to stumble upon T'Narev and the remnants of the Ashen Order of Tranquility.

Being a Human myself, it made me VERY happy to see that each and every last member of the Ashen Order is a Human, just the way the monk class is suppose to be. No Iksar. No Gnomes. No Elves, No Trolls, No Erudites or Barbarians or Halflings or Dwarves..

Just Humans.

I will need to level up before I can help them out, but just seeing them still thriving strong has been wonderful.

What do ya mean the "way its supposed to be"?

We gnomes had the kung fu way long before humanity fell on the planet like some droppings from a birds butt.

But Oh now the humans think they have the kung fu... in all reality all they have are poorly passable imitations passed

down from other hacks.

Long live the Martial Gnome Monks!

Because only Humans and Iksar took up the Monk profession in EQlive.  (And the Iksar didn't come around untill a year after EQ started.) The Ashen Order of monks used to be in Freeport, but moved out since they didn't want to submit to Lucan's rule over the city. They set up thier own fortress called T'Narev (Verant) in the desert and have been there ever since.

Secluded from the rest of the world.

Only humans existed in the Ashen Order back then and only Humans exist in it now because they've been secluded from everyone else over the past 500 years. No involvings with Qeynos or Freeport.

If you take a look at Maj'Dul btw, you'll notice that only about...... 5 NPC's in the entire city are not human.

Actually, you're wrong.  Of course.  We all know that half-elves are the best monks, including the best monks in the Ashen Order.  Case in point:

So next time, before you are being racist, do your research SMILEY

Shen Rai is of the Disciples, not the Order FYI.There's two sepperate factions in T'Narev. The Disciples supports the Dreadnaughts (Freeport Brawlers), where as the Order is the old monk hippy Tranqulity people.

I'll check again, but I'm pretty sure he is of the Order.

Actually Gaige, that is the new and improved Human model for the Ashen Order....

After 500 years of inbreeding and seclusion certain "anomolies" are bound to crop up. SMILEY

Back in eq1, there was very little reason to play a human other then being a monk.  Unfortuantely once Kunark came out with the Iksars, they made far superior monks due to their stats and natrual regen.

When I saw in eq2 that all races could be all classes, I was a bit saddened. SMILEY

And yet they suffered from a 20% XP Penalty, and at the high end of the game the AC and natural regeneration ment absolutly nothing, so the Humans *STILL* came out as the superior race.

And Gaige. I *KNEW* you were gonna point him out to me. That doesn't change the fact that the monks are entirely Human though. After all. A Half-Elf is Half-Human, so by technicality, that means that the Ashen Disciples and Ashen Order are both 100% Human.

Its okay I'll let you grasp at straws I suppose, because he is half human.  But then again, he's half elf....
