You don't.  It doesn't exist.  I am a level 50 alchemist, and the recipie books that came with Bloodlines don't include it.

the above poster would be correct.  All other bloodlines essences have adept3 upgrades in our books, and only the monk version was left out.

The reason there isn't an upgrade is because Instant Death spells can't be upgrades.

How do you want to upgrade your instant-death spell? Kill the mob instantly plus catapult it into the sky? :smileyvery-happy:

The spell rank has been removed on beta BTW, so it no longer shows up as App2 and misleading people in to thinking they can upgrade it when they can't.

Anyone on beta know if they increased the mob levels it can be used on, or is it still capped at 50?

I just want them to release it so that I can get it without the Bloodlines pack. I don't want to pay *ANOTHER* 8 dollars to buy it *AGAIN*.

And the spell description says that it only works on solo mobs of equal or lower level, so that doesn't mean it's capped at 50. It just means we haven't hit 51 yet to test it out.

No, the spell description states that it only works on mobs level 50 or lower.  There are level 51 and higher mobs around that are immune to it.

Well I remember when Bloodlines first came out, the spell description said "Equal or Lesser level" than the user... I don't have the skill, though I do want to get it. All I'm saying is: How do we know it only works up to 50? the description may be wrong..

just my 2 cents.

SOE is notorious for their inaccurate descriptions (Think FD).  There are level 51+ mobs around that you would expect DF to possibly work on.  It doesn't.

Consider that in Acts of War, all of those level 50 mobs that run out at your raid force can all be DFed to death whether your monk is 40 or 50.  The DF always hit mobs higher than you, the description was wrong.  However, there are level 51(no arrow mobs) that are in raid instances that cannot be killed by DF.

Don't count on it working past 50.

I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that if Devasation Fist works in PvP at all, it will probably be only on pets, and not PC's. So it will make us great at killing Necromancers and Conjurers, I suppose.

One hit kills work very poorly in a PvP situation from a balance perspective, historically. I doubt they will let Brawlers have something like this, but I would be interesting to hear how it's working on Beta or Test.

Its a brawler skill so both of us can use it.  It was part of the BLC adventure pack, and its aquired from the merchant after doing the first 3 or 4 quests for your specific camp in Nektulos Forest.

If upgrades  could exist, they could increase the level of effectiveness, or the tier of effectiveness, or reduce reuse time.

Currently, it works only on lvl 50 or below. It does not work on ^/^^/^^^ heroics (or solo mobs for that matter) nor named.

5min reuse time with a (I think now) 11sec stifle.

It is no longer capped at level 50.  I've been deathtouching level 58s in DoF.  It also no longer shares a reuse timer with Freezing Palm. It's my favorite skill ever.

I spent the last couple of nights doing the quests so I can buy the spell from the vendor.  I did the 3rd quest checked the vendor no Devastation Fist.  I completed the 4th quest and went back to the vendor, still no DF.  The other classes spells were there along with crafting books etc... Does anyone know if DF has been removed from the vendor or have they changed the amount of quests needed?  Thanks in advance.

Well I checked the bloodlines forum and my question was sort of answered with this post.  :smileymad:

I am still confused.  So the craft book can be purchased and the spell made for us instead of completing a certain amount of quests in BLC or do we still have to do the quests for it?
Thanks.

From the information I have seen the only way we could get the spell was to purchase it from the vendor after doing the quests.  The receipe was never in any books.  But now it is not even available at the vendor.

Is the Devastation Fist removed for new players? I also made the 3rd quest (evil side), checked the vendor, all other spells there, but no Fist. I made a petition about it, and got the reply that it was removed in the Combat Changes. If so, why does everyone else have it? And why didn't we get a replacement Bloodline spell?

Is there anyone that managed to get this after the Combat Changes, if so, how many quests was needed to be done, or did you get it elsewhere?

I got Devastation Fist after completing the 'Mysterious Artifacts' quest for the 'evil' team. This was sometime in the last few days and DEFINITELY AFTER the combat revamp.
