Hello, ive recently played a Inquisitor, and in my oppinion i feel that i grind pretty slow, i dont loose hp, but my power lowers fast. anyway. I would just like to know if Monks are easier to grind with, Do they have the SOLO capability, And What weapon is "best" for a monk to use? is there a best weapon, And last, Can monks be evil? Thank you very much MysLex

I've had no problems grinding up to 25 so far with my monk, killing monsters up to level 27 as long as they aren't casters. My character looks very cool, and feign death adds some very cool mechanics when questing. Say you need to kill Sabertooth Looters, but they are in a group with two other non-quest mobs. Run in, kill the looters, and then feign death. Also worked great with the swarm beetles I had to kill for my armor quest SMILEY Monks cannot be evil...evil monks are Bruisers, which from what I hear are more DPS than a monk...I am sure others could tell you more. Monks use blunt weapons, and while everyone has their preferences, the consensus seems to be dual wield or two hand, not one handers. I use cesti right now, fist weapons, because I love the character animations with them, though Bo staffs are similarly keen to watch in action. SMILEY Just my two cents; I am sure others with more knowledge will chime in any second now. SMILEY

The monk class is good only.

The bruiser class is the evil, or Freeport, version.

Similiar, but definately different.

Weapons are a matter of choice, I prefer slow 2h atm, may change once cu goes live.

I dinged 50 in 31 days played I believe, and I slacked off a bit.  I know a friend of mine dinged 50 before Christmas I believe, so yeah, I'd say you can definately grind with monk.

Solo will of course take longer, but is doable.  Our power usage is pretty insane though.

been grinding through level 40-46 mostly solo doing writs in EF and LS. I play about 4 hours a night tops and had 2 vacations in there,
Dinged 40 on july 6 and 46 last night. So thats about a level every week or roughly every 20 hours of game time. IT goes pretty fast IMHO, not out to set any speed records. Normally spend more timehunting for the right writ mobs than waiting for power regen.
I would say most of my levels have been gotten solo and i dont feel like i have ever had a problem with downtime. One limiting factor for me is i only play my toon when she has vitality, so the vitality gain is what is limiting my leveling more than anything.
anyways yes we can grind.
