Hi Guys,

Was experimenting with my skills, namely Martial Focus.

Got a buddy to join my group, asked him to tell me his mitigation. I then targeted him and cast this buff. I then asked him what his mitigation was and it was still the same? Am i using this buff correctly or have i done something wrong. Have tried this on multiple people now and it doesn't seem to make any difference. I currently have the spell at Adept 1.

Can someone test this to confirm for me please.... before i post a bug report.

Thanks.

Tiao.

It works. But not by adding directly to mitigation or avoidance.

Martial Focus give YOU a chance to deflect attacks directed at HIM. It won't change the defensive (Avoid/Mitigate) numbers on the target, but you might see a little bit higher Avoidance because of the Deflection skill buff.

You know the skill works because it says "A Big Scary Monster tries to hit Bestbuddy, but YOU Block!" not the normal dodge message you get when he dodges or blocks for himself.

You can test to see how much this happens by standing about 100 yards away from someone that you've buffed, and letting them tank while you do nothing. You'll see yourself combat emote dodge/block occassionally. That's Martial Focus working.
