After seeing some Frogs practicing in the hidden village, I am guestimating that many people will become a monk/bruiser just for the animation alone.
Anyone else seen it?

I may create one just for solo factor when I am bored being in the 40s......  = )

When I logged out last night there was a 14 Froglok Brawler already.   My guess is he will be level 50 by the end of the weekend.   :smileytongue:

I am making a good counterpoint to my bruiser, by creating the Froglok monk.  Should be interesting.

During E3, I mentioned to one of the dev's that they really needed to fix the monk animations being so repetitive.  He agree'd and said that the Froglok animations were really good for monks.

Here's to hoping they do something about it. SMILEY

With the Froglok eye and wearing firstwraps(or no weapons at all) the Monk Fluff Stance with frogs is way cool.. Wouldn't mind seeing it on my Gnome haha. Along with the kicks and the such, the frog does a flip and kicks and and another does a spin kick. Really good looking stuff, would love to see it transferred a bit onto non-frogs, but not enough as to partially remove some of the Froglok's mysticism :smileytongue:

The mysticism was removed the moment they were unlocked.

Anyone else reminded of the infamous Yoda fight from Episode 2 in Frog form?

My plan was to go Monk with my Froglok.

I think you will see most frogs become monk/brawlers/scouts because their highest starting stat is AGI.

thats exactly why i made my froglok a brawler/future monk. the idea of a frog jumping around doing all these kung fu like moves all over the place kind of like yoda.at lvl 14 my froglok in my opinion just looks so cool, though the hoping kind of annoys me. wish i could have the option to have them walk like npc in towns.Im work on him more and cant wait to get more attack and having him seem more like yoda when he jumping around like that.

You do have that option. Walking isn't a special NPC animation. It's just that players typically never walk anywhere.

In response to the question about the Froglok eye:

Yeppers, it works now.  Human monk friend of mine has one and he tried it out the other night.  I have to admit that the frog looked pretty cool as a monk! SMILEY

I gotta admit, though - I wish that there had been some other types of NPCs (other than just monks) hanging out in the instanced Froglok village so that people could have seen some other class-specific animations and been inspired.  I like that there are not as many monks as other fighters - it makes me feel pretty unique.  Now I fear we're about to be infaltrated by a bajillion froglok monks!

Oh well...if they get outta line, I hear their legs are crunchy and good with ketchup.  Yum! SMILEY

I don't think there are any other class specific animations (aside from one or two casting animations, maybe).

Well, that's a bummer.  Would have been neat to see frogs in plate and chain fencing together - frogs in robes practicing casting....frogs in light armor....doing...things...

Anyway, what I mean to say is that it's a bummer that mostly monks were represented in the froglok village.  In EQ1, they couldn't even *be* monks, so it would have made sense to have a wider variety of frogs doing their daily froggy routines.  It might have been a tad more inspirational as far as giving people ideas of what they look like doing different things.

I admit: I miss the Backflips they would do when they casted a spell.

Hehehe!  I *loved* that about them when they were released in EQ1.  I never got my frog pally past about level 12 or so, but I used to run her around the bazaar, casting whatever lowbie buff I had, just to watch her flip.  The /cheer animation for the frogs was GREAT, too.
