On a lighter note.. Fighting animations

What is your favorite fighting animation?I do love the bo stick animations.. but my favorite has to be when wielding fist weaps or cestii in both hands doing the Pouncing Tiger line.. the complete jump spin in the air. Regular folks I group with love that animation as well.So what animation do you think is the best?Kharza 38 Monk Mistmoore

That one is also my favorite. Next up is doing three of the jumping spin kicks in a row.

The 3rd 4th or 5th move in silent fist kata that unfortunately didn't make it to any of our other attacks.

That one is cool. Also the level 35 AOE attack (while wielding fists).

Take a look at that the lvl 35 attack from the side. For the longest time I thought it was a flying spinning backfist type attack, but its actually a higher flying spinning kick. SMILEY

As for the mocaps, I was pretty disappointed with the multi attack animations as being just a series of punches. During beta I chatted with one of the dev's about them and was told that they mocapped one of the guys who was a power ranger for a lot of the animations. SMILEY

While not particular to monks, I have to say I really dig the duel-wield taunt animation where you stop for a moment to stare the mob down and then make just a tiny little lunge at them as if to try and make the mob flinch. Pretty creative and very entertaining. :smileyvery-happy:

Im 34 atm... going to hit 35 eventually...... but is the 35 aoe attack you mention a unique look compared to all our previous attacks? Does it share animations with any other attack? Pouncing Tiger with fists is a jump up spin backfist move... wondering if that's what y'all are talking about. And yeah that move is really cool. Looks like it wouldnt hurt more than a toxic feather though.
