I use to hear about how great Beserkers were at dealing some nice damage, I was thinkin of rollin a Beserker as my first toon but im unsure of it i would like it considering i like to dps and hit big numbers.

Could somone compare Shadow knights and Beserkers for me as well, just tell me a few pros and cons between the two of why one is better then the other and vice versa.

If your making a tank class and looking for serious dps go buriser or monk... Berserkers are probably 3rd in the DPS category... we aren't that great against 1 mob where we shine for DPS is multiple mobs in an encoutner.  We have several very nice AOE DPS and when you stick Destruction lvl 70 and Open Wounds lvl 58 together you can pretty much be the high end DPS for that 36 secs that those 2 last.

If your looking for the 5k to 20k hits go wizard or assassin.  We aren't a dps class we are  tank class that can do decent damage in fights but were not the typ eof class that can hit 1 or 2 abilities and take a mobs health down by 50% in 5 secs

I am no pro at Berserkers... I started mine on Sunday. He's 15 now (very limitted time playing this week). But I can tell you that my SK did about the same or maybe more damage up to this point, and could take a butt whooping too. My Zerk just can't take the heat.

My Monk... just plain ol' bad [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn]. Monk take the damage a zerk can, but when he's swinging and kicking... the mob won't last that long.

What level is your monk?  Honestly until you get at least into the mid 30s you aren't really going to tell the difference in the tanks, 50s + they really differentiate.

Yes, you did hear that zerkers put up some uber DPS. So did the Devs. After a year long round of "adjustments" to our class our DPS has been dramatically reduced. We are now right where we "should" be - about 10% more DPS than guardians. If you want a DPS fighter go bruiser or monk. While not fighters, the scouts get some decent armor and have great DPS. They can tank in a pinch, but only in an emergency.

Dont listen to any of these people telling you to go monk or bruiser or any other panzy [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] class. You wanna do MAJOR dps? go to a mage class or scout, but be prepared to be soft, so soft a stiff wind would blow u over. and all u can do is dps,  we got dps classes comeing out our ears on my server. You wanna be a good tank and still be able to deal out the punishment and take the beatings? Then roll urself a Zerker, and be god [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] proud u did. Ok just kidding about not listening to any1, im not flaming just haveing some fun....but As a Zerker when the grps need tanks and theres non around, like there never is, u can tank, and dps....And any grp that knows anything till take u as a dps class if they need dps. Yes other classes can outdamage u but at certian times but u will put a mage class to shame other times. Some mobs resist mages other times u will have key skills up (Rampage, Open wounds, or ur dps/haste buffs will go off along with ur underworld legplates and ur str/agi rings and u will find urself with 57%hast and 87%dps) and we can do masive damage. Becides when it all comes down to it how much dps can any1 really do without pulling agro, i mean a mage is limited cause when they pull agro they die, but when u pull agro u can laugh in the mobs face as u lay a beating on him like he has never seen before. Also u asked about Zerker vs Sk? well i have a 65 Zerker but only a 30 sk so my exp is limited, but ill say this....i LOVE my Zerker, but if i had to play another tank class i think id come to LOVE my Sk maby just as much....I mean Sk's get some awasome skills. Oh and about the guy that said the Zerkers only do 10% more damage than Guardians? Im not sure about that, i know they have made the Guard class a little more like a Zerker in that they do alot more dps...It seems that a guard is like 70% tanking 30% dps....but Zerkers r more like 70%dps 50% tanking, u do the math. again please dont flame justhaveing some fun all.... Well at 54 I would say that I have had a blast playing my Zerker. I have been on Antonia Bayle since the hour the server opened.  I take my time lvling. In fact I find that right now I am moving WAY too fast for my likes.  Anyway on to the point. At this lvl I can some blue and some green coned Heroic mobs in Sinking Sands and pretty much any green in the 'old' world. I am in full cobalt with full vanadium. All my arts at 40+ are adpt 3 or higher. I excell at Heroic multi mob encounters. This is the first time in my adventuring career (since LU13) that I have been able to 'solo' Heroic encounters! Gear/Arts are everything to a tank. Spend your cash on armor first than 'your right side jewlery' than arts. Taunts are king never forget em.

My three and a half cents.
