I am constantly be hit much harder by other classes ...all of which are close to my level. My berserker is level 16 and has a 1handed sword( 5-15 damage) and a shield. His average damage ranges from 5-23 damage. He gets hit for much greater damage seems like all the time from other melee classes. Like for example a 18 assassin hit me for 50+ damage, many a times, and even hit for a few times over 170 damage! What is wrong with my BZ, why is his damage so weak...is it just cause his enemy (pvp) are tweaked or what???

actually there can be a ton of reasons why ........in pvp the most important part is getting the upper hand and make them fight your fight.he could have better gear or you could have real shiity gear.............are the main 2 reasons off the top of my head i can think of..........but believe me keep hammering away and do what you can to improve your spells and gear and you will have a very good chance goin into battle, cuz hey.......your a zerker!!!!!

Bersekers are fighters and their role is to take damage, not deal it out.Assassins are scouts whose role is to deal damage. So nothing is wrong with your berzerker.Berzerker can do good damage with their attacks that hit multiple opponents. You are also not making a fair comparison. You are comparing the peak damage done against you with your average damage.Your own peak using a CA should be significantly higher than you average.Assasins with have higher damage CAs but these are often positional - only able to be used from behind, or from stealth.

the assasin gave up the ability to wear plate and have high mitigation(read melee damage absorbtion) in order to be a dps class..........

Your not a dps class....your a tank.... not to say you cant dps but your not going to dps as well as a class that was setup for it!

First, if you want to do lot of damage with your weapon, get two dual weilding weapons, that is the way to go for a Berserker. We can do rapid damage with dual weapons. Also, try to get very good weapons.

Next, upgrade some of your skills, specially some high hitting combat arts like Knee break and Mangle. I have Master I of those and I do 100-150 with Knee break and 60-90 with Mangle. (Level 20 serker)

Most zerkers in PvP like to use a shield for the stun alone. Stun's in pvp are a big help.

Like they said, we are tanks, which are (supposed to be) the lowest in terms of damage output.

Stuns are good anytime!  I counted 6 or 7 abilities that have either stun, interupt, or knock back.  (Plus, for me, I have a weapon that has a proc on it that interupts them).  Space these out a little bit (like every other hit), and your enemy is stuned, interupted, or knocked back for most of the fight!  Of course, you'll need adept 3 or better, so that they aren't resisted as often.  These abilities makes up for the lack of dps, imo.
