Berserker PvP: Conquering and Getting Conquered

Well I finally was able to sign in about 12am and went for alittle exping for 45 min with my guildies. Considering power regen is messed up we perma pulled for 45 minutes so I didn't have a chance to figure out my skills or even respec. After that I did some guildy dueling and it was pretty [expletive ninja'd by Faarbot] fun. My record was around .500 but keeping in mind no respec and no time to figure out my class and playing against my server's best, I'll take it. Here is the breakdown.

Vs Koldsteel (Swash. Full fabled minus like 1 jewelery slot) 3-2 me:

Nasty @$$ long range stun. On my successful attempts I went shield + 1H to counteract the fact that he never missed, and started with that stupid stun. RGF was unsuccessful and I got blasted, as was the case when I forgot to put my stance up. Overall Swashes are beastly, but we get enough stuns that if you can survive the initial burst you can take them out.

Vs Melanoma (Warlock. Lots of fables + masters) 1-0 me:

Switched to posion gear and it was lights out. I resisted a few distortions, and he had to stay in range to nuke but the old Yew Bow still hit him. Stun, Frenzy, Raging Blows, was about all she wrote.

Vs KDog (Wizard. See above for getup) 1-0 me:

Through up my defensive stance, switched to cold gear, two resisted ice comets later. Good game. Nastier than a warlock b/c they have some nasty stun.

Vs Voltronn (Bruiser. RGF + Cryptic Metallic Tunic and 2-3 other fables) 1-3 (he got the 3):

Bruisers are nasty. Period. Self heal for like 1k and have lots of heat + crushing + stunning attacks. I respec'd to Crush Resist for tanking and extra HP as well, so we'll see how it goes when I'm bringing about 300 more crushing resist and 500 HP to the table tonight.

Vs Relapse (Warden. RGF + Full Fabled + Invoker + lots of masters) 0-2 (he got the 2):

Tried to 2H him both times, bad idea. His efficiency was insane. Best bet is to stun him at the beggining and pray you can lump enough damage that he can't spam heal enough to save himself. Only 2x toons that I saw kill him was the bruiser after about 3 tries, but the Swash absolutely [Removed for Content] him.

Anyrate these are just my first happenings. Will post more as time goes, strats, etc. Feel free to post your outcomes/strats. Time to leave work SMILEY

ahh sabin been meaning to get in touch with you in game but no luck...

I haven't had too much time to duel since i've started my grind... 57 now and tired as it gets...

I have dueled a few berserkers, and a few guardians, im 13-0 on the overall fighter class >.< The only close fight was against my guilds other berserker, Zerkin Fury. The funnest duel ever was against a Wizard on my server named Kalantia because it was so unpredictable. I beat him 3 out of 5 times we dueled but dude... if you don't resist that stifle your chances of surviving are close to 0. The finishing round, *5th duel*, he got the stifle off instantly but go go yew bow and i bowed him to 20% then his root broke and i managed to walk there with his snare on and get a vanquish off. Go go lucky resist haha. I've beat pretty much every class in the game. The only ones I find myself having trouble with are Rangers, Dirges, Conjurors and Paladins... I dueled 3 different rangers and beat the heck out of 2 of them which were one level lower than me at the time, then comes Vindail, the ranger in my guild who used a way different strat and rocked my face. I got him down to 23% at the best attempt but his poisons wore me down... He has beaten me 3 out of 3 times. *weep*

Oh sabin, when you duel are you using a shield or 2h and Off or Def stance? If i know there is about to be a big attack in the beginning like against a ranger i go defensive stance then when i get in close on them i switch. I always am using a shield for the extra stun.

Hey Rok, 57 already? I take it someone went playing with the drakota's the first few days, followed by some insano grinding. OK, to refresh my list, I went 3-5 against our bruiser last night, but I got it figured out abit better and was 2 for 2 with the new strat (basically turtling at the beggining till he got his hammer fist/crushing blows out of the way) then he ate a vanquish and all the other goodies. I've yet to get anywhere close to being beaten by a mage (throw on appropriate gear, and run them foo's down then hit Vanquish = lights out). Same with our necro, he got it pretty quick as well. Maybe it gets better as you level but right now palladins give me [expletive ninja'd by Faarbot] fits as do wardens. I don't know if you remember Vertigo or not, but he's got a fabled out warden and you might as well just bend over and take it. I might be missing something obvious, but I pretty much hate duststorm (20% chance to KB and Blur Vision at Master 1). Anyhow, let me know how the T6 fables are.

First off,

I never did Drakota's SMILEY That would be malice. I was sleeping 5 hours a day and grinding the rest. My group set up is insane... Pure dps 100%.

As for wardens, let them beat on you until they are out/low on power. Then you just facerape them. Or, kill them slowly with little attacks when they get to 30% vanquish and do the routine SMILEY It is all about how you work it. We have possibly the best equiped warden in our guild, booshy, who has every one of his masters and I beat him two out of 3 times, even though they were about 20 min fights.

Get this sabin, i hit rampage and hit the loop of attacks and a 51 berserker was dead at level 53. No clue how, but I took it that it was one of his first duels. I'll have to hit you up in game tonight and we can talk strat.

As for T6 fabled: I have only seen Very Light Armor - Medium Armor for drops that were consistant. Zerkin, the other berserker in NPU got a pair of heavy guantlets and their mit is huge. The VLA/Med I saw came off the ancient cyclops in Ancients Table before SOE put a 6 hour time on it when you could farm it. We got quite a few master chest off of him. He dropped far more caster jewlery than anything else though unfortunatly.

PS: Fury's [Removed for Content] face if they are played right in PVP. Seiryu, NPU's fury can pretty much stick my head in my butt.
