![]() Hey guys i started playing way back when eq2 came out, 2nd day it came out in fact. I played a Guardian (Troll) and i really liked the class. After about a month of playing i stopped playing due to solo/group issues. Now almost a year + after i came back and i see a lot of promising changes in solo department and overall the game has improved imo. But i keep seeing the problems my class has and i really missed out on what happened after LU13. I am a math person and i like game mechanics and read a lot of posts, and i noticed that guardians got somehow nerfed after Live Update 13. Now is this due to how + defense works now, or is there other things as well ? Before i quit i recall a lot of arguments between guardians and monks and Gage-Mikel was always making posts about all fighters being equal tanks, did he really achieve what he wanted, and nerfed all Guardians by making Sony listen ? Because from what i read/seen on these forums and from my own Guardian i see that we lost a lot in tanking department and didn't gain anything in offense to compensate. So my question is this fellow Guardians, what exactly was this huge combat revamp change i keep reading about, that happened after LU13, and how and in what areas did it affect us negativelly ? ![]() Aggro management and buff stacking we're the biggest things nerfed, pre LU13 we could taunt a mob once have a healer load us with reactives and go afk until the fight was over and hold aggro while not getting touched. We didn't get anything offensively because there's a false stereotype or something that guardians aren't supposed to have dps because we're the "best tank." Our hold the line buff works on flawed logic, etc. Don't know I quit playing my guard not because of the issues with the class but just because it got boring playing a class that's so one dimensional.
