Disappearing ring bug....Be careful or your stuff gets deleted

Normally, if you drag an item onto another item it simply swaps the two items locations.

So I'm in a raid and switching gear to get the right resists up for the next fight. I drag a ring from my inventory screen to my backpack onto another ring...thinking it will swap the rings out and equip the one in my backpack. Instead, it moves the ring from my equip slot into my backpack but does not equip the backpack ring. The ring that was in my backpack disappears and is replaced in my backpack by the one I dragged there.

IF YOU DRAG AN ITEM FROM AN EQUIPED SLOT, DROP IT IN AN EMPTY SLOT IN YOUR BACKPACK or the item previously in that slot gets deleted.

It only happened once, but that's cause I was not willing to test it more and lose any more items. Luckily the ring that I lost was a serpentine band so pretty easy to replace.

check all your bags. ive done this plenty of times and it moves the 'replaced' ring into the first empty slot available.

I have a hotbar set up on which all my hot swap items are placed. When I want to swap an item in I just click it and it unequips the current item and equips the item I clicked. Works well for me, but then again I don't yet have a whole lot of resist gear

I have that too for my rings, so when I'm activating the buffs I can click through quickly. However when you do that is always swaps one of the ring slots and never the other. So for the other slot to change resists on the second ring slot I open up my inventory screen and drag it out.

And yes I looked carefully through my bags...it didn't move it to a different bag. It was a serpentine band, a fairly unique icon. It's gone.
