![]() Hi all, It has been weeks now, and still we have received no word from an official source at SOE that our problems are being fixed. We have had some limited communications from Raijinn about the issues being "looked at" but thus far the only "fix" has been a CA that [Removed for Content] our shields when we use it.... I would like to know what Sony's position on Guardians (and the other classes that have major issue) are at this point. Are these problems that are brought up daily on the forums here and in /feedback a concern for Sony or is everything "working as intended"? Will the next Live Update offer any changes or help for our plight? As far as I can see from reading the forums, the biggest thing will be the SOGA graphics, and possibly some needed tweaking of Assassins and other classes, but nothing has been mentioned about Guardians. We would really like some official comments from a dev/designer !!

![]() Raijinn has posted a few times, but little to no solid information was given. Would be nice to hear something from a developer.

![]() I cannot agree more.. we have seen some info from the devs that speak to a specific issue (Not making it so harvest nodes are locked..etc..) and I have also seen devs reply to a post that lists a host of issues that need attention but, the response is something like: "Wow those are some great suggestions and just fyi we are looking into some of them" Well how about telling us exactly which ones you are looking into and status? We consistantly get vague/general replies and no real facts on specific issues. All we are asking for is information.. thats one of the reasons these boards exist isn't it? Unfortunately we get very very little specific info on what the devs are currently looking into be it short term or long term. MG did say they are happy with the way tthe fighters are playing out atm.. I believe he also mentioned that there would be some minor tweaking for the Guards.. of course we have no clue what.. I hope that minor tweaking was not that shield "Fix" they referred to in another post.. but that would be the useless stuff MG was probably talking about.. Each and every update, I look and see if anything worthwhile changed for the Guards.. Each patch I am dissappointed but.. of course not suprised. I really dont expect any earthshattering changes for us Guards.. I can say I think it is f'ing stupid taunts are resisted.. Who's bright [Removed for Content] idea was that? We get this massive nerf on Sept 13th and yea I am getting use to those changes but resisted taunts are just another slap in the face that pisses me off even more. It would be nice to have a definitive list from the Devs as to what specific Guardian issues they are looking into and have it broken down into short term and long term catagories. While I share the frustration of being kept in the dark, I can also understand why SOE have to be very careful with what the say. Any announcement that, e.g., taunt resistance was being looked into, would immediately be taken as a promise to take it away by the guardian community, and would at the same time cause massive protests about guadians becoming uber-tanks by the fighter classes relying more on DPS for hate.
Disappointed expectations are even worse than disappointed hopes. Besides, I would rather they work on the issues than waste their time debating here. :smileywink: Vork, 52 guardian

![]() Patience is a virtue. With that said... There are a number of spell changes that will be going to Test tomorrow, including changes to some guardian abilities. As for shields, we already stated that they grant avoidance in the form of the Block chance. However, the display of the Block value in the Persona window is broken and doesn't increase correctly as you switch to a shield with a higher shield factor. This will be fixed in Live Update #16, scheduled for a week from today. To be clear, the chance to block is being computed correctly in combat. It's only the Block % indicator in the Persona window that isn't displaying correctly. ===========================

from what ive hear live update 16b is suppose to have some guardian spell changes and i think some new spells for guards, so keep your fingers crossed
