Do we still get fried by green/grey mobs nukes?

Seems like every zone has em as you level up. Nek, Zek, and now Lavastorm have areas that you have a 32.33, repeating of course, percentage of survival because some green mob can take out over half your hp as quick as you can aggro and his casting buddys finish the job. I just want to know if this has been fixed with the combat changes.
