I am 25% away from lvl 50. My current choices lean towards solo'ing and "assault" groups (Guardian, Ranger, Healer). I have and do MT in full groups and some "minor" raids (non lvl uber stuff).

I will be looking for the MT and MA role in raids and Tanking in the assault group. Soloing will be limited to writ bashing.

What are your opinions about rebuilding the skill list with the above goal in mind.

Thanks in advance.

This list will be no good after combat revamp... but you get a new respec then anyway. best training for a MT and MA are braksans desperate rally (400 hp+) uthros defiant cry (5 spell avoid) slates invigorating threat (single taunt) 4th doesnt matter

You only really need to worry if you are part of a raiding guild who will drop you at any second because you suddenly can't tank as well. Guardians will be able to tank regular groups as good as anyone it's just that our roles in raids may be shifted a bit. If the concept that other tanks may be as good or better than you blows your mind, might as well drink the kool aid now.

I'm not worried about being dropped from a raiding guild... We don't have enough people for raids.

I just enjoy the Tank role and hope they don't mess it up for the Guardian.

/emote Eyes the "Special Kool-aid", eyes the Developers. Knows where the Kool-aid will go if guardians get major nerfing.

If you type /respec in game, all your trait, race, class choices you made at lvl 8, 10, 12 ... 40, 42 etc. will be reset and you can choose the ones you like more. It is a one-time command. Use it once and choose carefully SMILEY SOE said they add a new /respec after combat changes went live (they are not stacking though if you haven't used the first one SMILEY )

So I can use it now at 44 and then again after the revamp? Holy Crap!! that rocks SMILEY

hmm ok well now I need some help.. What ones to pick.. Would appreciate some suggestions keeping in mind I want them to favor Aggro generation/Defense (mitigation/avoidance) as the first priority then Damage as last priority.

Thanks for the info on that...

Here is the link to the class training (10/20/30/40) options: http://eqiiforums.station.sony.com/eq2/board/message?board.id=3&message.id=4290 The majority of the Guardian community seems these the best bang for the buck: 10: Uthro's 20: Slate's 30: Slate's 40: Braksan's No clue what your race options are, but normally those are the best: + Defense + Crushing Mitigation + HP + STR + stun time reducer For Resists, Poison is a good choice, all help though (Would concentrate on the common damage ones though: Cold/Heat/Disease/Poison) When choosing Max HP, HP regen, Max Power, Power regen, always go Max HP. You want to be a Guardian SMILEY

hmm well i tried to /respec at lvl 44 and it said I could not do it at this time.. Do I have to be lvl 50 before I can /respec?If so then what happens if I hit lvl 50 after the release of The next expansion that increases lvl cap to 60?Just curious

It is not true.  Sony has issued a /respec at certain times through-out the game.  Usually after major changes.  If you are someone that didn't use it at that time then it was still available to you to use.  They don't add up.  So if you didn't use the first or the second, you don't have two to use.

As far as I know, everyone will get one after the expansion.

I have never used that command as I just recently found out about it. I am lvl 45 and tried it on Saturday and go tthe error I posted above. So if I never used it should I be able to use it now and then again after the revamp or do I have to be 50 to use it before the revamp?
