![]() Ok so I was with my 30 gaurdian the other day and I was with a group in RoV. There was also another 30 gaurdian in our group, whose ac was 1425, (there was an inquis in the group who buffed the ac). This was his ac with the sheild, 1425. My ac with the same exact sheild was only 1395, and i supposedly had all the buffs he did. I checked out his gear and compared it to mine, and realized that my gear was way better than his. So i asked to make sure i had all the buffs and i did, so i decided to put my shield away and use a 2h. My ac stayed the same with the 2h, it was still 1395. So i asked the other gaurdian to use a 2h, and he did, and his ac dropped to about 1367. So why is the shield affecting his ac and not mine? |

Shields do not affect AC if you mean Mitigation. Shields affect Avoidance through giving you a chance to block. When unequipping his shield, your groupmate's AC/mitigation shouldnt have dropped. A possible explanation is that a buff faded out. Other than buffs, the only thing affecting Mitigation is the value on the armor. Not AGI or other stats.

As of the latest patch shields do now affect mitigation. I have a tower shield as a 48 guardian that adds 800 mitigation and is now working properly. I also noticed the same previously.
