what shuld i use 2hand wepon or 1hand/shield

what i have read on this board most off all ppl say guardian sucks and cant handel aggro.....

so il prolly have to solo all of my everquest days so thinking of shield/one handed wepon SMILEY

As noted below, I typically use a hammer and shield when tanking and need the added DEF, if I don't, or if I'm not tanking, I'll use either my Halberd of Defense, or a Steel Lance.
