Early Arrivals?

I'm planning on making a week of it and arriving the Sunday before... (Seriously considered going to the Star Trek convention which is the weekend before, but that would have been a bit of geek over-load

)Was wondering if anyone else going early? Perhaps looking for like-minded folks to hang out with to do some of the other Vegas type stuff? Make new friends, etc?

I am arriving a day early... well the night befor mainly to get into the front of the mile and a half long line to get registered, worked out great last year... eventhough I ended up waiting in line talking with Calthine from 'zam and the people she Hooked as they walked by. SMILEY<img src=

I'll probably be there a few days early; not sure how early yet but at least 1 day early (due to expecting there to be a Summit with Community Leaders). I'll probably be there a few days after too from what mom was thinking of.

I'll be in vegas from the 11th to the 18th... whether i have any money to eat for that week is another matter, but i'll be in vegas !

hehe sounds like my plan. Although I shall have 14+ hours of travel on either side of that.

Meh i arrive the 14th in the am, so check into hotel than kill 4 hours till fan fair check in. Last year i got bored when i flew in early and left late so i chooseing the fly in same morning and fly out sunday morning.

We're arriving on Wednesday. But, I think we're going to stick to the hotel bars and casino that night. If anyone wants to come hang out and stuff.. just look for the preppy guy walking around with the gal dressed like a Halfling.

I plan on just relaxing and doing nothing but sit by a pool and read a book and stuff for a few of the days at the beginning of hte week =P

My plans turned out this way because i'm doing a get-together in Denver CO the weekend before fan faire, and it was cheaper to fly from denver to vegas and stay a few nights extra in a hotell than it would have been to fly home for a few days and then fly back out.

Ditto here. I just cannot get enough time off of work/family/volunteer/honeydo to stick around any longer.So I guess it's a matter of having a blast during, rather than before. SMILEY

We (my boyfriend and I) are arriving on Wednesday and going to go see Ka! that night. On Thursday (his birthday, incidentally), we're hoping to find a few EQ2ers during the day to hang out with and stuff SMILEY

I am the thread starter (under my 2nd account), this is the account I registered with so posting with it....I am arriving late Sunday the 10th (10pm-ish local time), and departing noon-ish on Sunday the 17th.Probably Wednesday on, I will be hanging around the Hilton hopefully to meet with other FF folks as it seems that is the day a lot of people are arriving.Still looking for people to hang out with and something to do Monday/Tuesday... I've seen most of the Vegas shows that interest me on previous trips. Haven't seen Ka, and would looks like one of the fre Circ-Du-Sole shows I may enjoy. I might go see Penn & Teller again depending if I can get Tix comped. Looks like I may just be hanging by the pool a bit. There doesn't appear to be any good music acts playing that week (Checked Hard Rock, & House of Blues), I'm into "Rock" style music, both clasic and modern. Couldn't find much info on "House Bands" that play that style of music anywhere.Is there any word on what the "Off-Site" thing is going to be?If you are going early and may be interested in finding something to do, PM me and I can send phone or whatever contact info.

I've not been to Vegas before, but according to some friends, just near where we'll be at, there is nearly enough to entertain most people for a few days, plus the casinos.

I'm in downtown area and have been spending some time at the freemont street experience. The light show is pretty cool. Just got back from watching Bite at the Stratosphere. It rocked.
