Quick back story:

I played this game for a few years, stopped playing a few months after SF released, and just reciently decided to come back and see how things are.

Downloading the whole client is simply not an option for me (my Internet connection is charged on a usage basis, and a 14gb download will cost a fair amount). Fortunately, I had a friend who just downloaded the client via Steam. Remembering from a few years ago when I played on two computers, I simply copied his game client on to a portable hard drive, and then over to my computer. I entered in my account details, logged in and all was good.

I had a whole lot of notices as soon as I logged in, one of which was to in-attune all my equipment, which I did. I noticed obviously that I had silver account access, which means I can not equip any of my now in-attuned gear. This was also fine, and expected. I went to the marketplace to see how much it would cost to get the tokens allowing me to equip fabled items (assuming they still sell the ), and this is where I hit my issue.

When I opened the marketplace, it told me Steam was not active, so I couldn't purchase anything. My assumption is that when the client is downloaded via Steam, it ties marketplace purchases to that Steam account, and needs that account to be logged on in order to make marketplace purchases.

What I want to know is if here is a file I can delete or edit that will allow me to purchase directly. Is the marketplace, without having to go through Steam, or if there is a way to change which Steam account the client is attached to.

I hope I've made my situation clear enough, any help would be appreciated.
