new launcher hangs... been dloading a WEEK

ive been trying to dload AoD for a week now. i use dial up so im use dto long updates but this is beyond ridiculous. i have all my antivirus type things OFF. i have sen tin a ticket 2 days ago but never got a reply. i leave it to dload 24/7 but NOTHING is happening! its sticking at paks/ShaTplt.vpk righ tnow. what in the world am i supposed to do?

Lets make sure its not just completely stuck on that file.

First things to make sure of, you have any firewall software disabled as well.

Next, move your EQII folder from ProgramData or PRogram Files to C:UsersPublic (you can skip if its already there or if you use a custom folder you made yourself).

Delete the paks/ShaTplt.vpk file and restart the LaunchPad. That particular file is just shy of 100MB so it may take a few to get downloaded and updated but it shouldn't take THAT long at all.

ok, it advanced some but was still sticking on 3 files - dyod.vpk, fprt_south.vpk, and shatplt.vpk. so i moved the folder like you said. now its forgotten the fprt file and is only updating the other two. ill let it go tonight (a good 9 hours, at least) and cross my fingers.

i tried to copy these files from a friends pc, but he didnt even have a paks folder. any idea why?

it ran for 11 hours but didnt finish. i wish the new launcher showed progress like the old one! i cant tell if its doing anything.
