![]() Forgive me ahead of time for any opinions mixed w/ facts, I am a bit frustrated. I've read dozens of forums & have attempted many of the options listed from other players & support team, yet still I can't fix this issue. Launchpad: I click on icon on my desktop for EQ2 & launchpad shows SOE logo & then disappears, just vanish. EQ2X also did this as well, in fact I noticed it first w/ EQ2X. Game was working fine all yesterday & all year for that matter, & mysteriously yesterday launchpad couldn't get to username & password info, as it times out & dissappears, no error message, nothing. Already attempted. Ran program as admin. deleted temp files. updated flash. made sure firewall & router issues work. active x updated. compatability change to fit my version of windows. loaded previous restore point versions. ran from exe file in folder. ran those likewise as stated above admin etc. uninstalled & reinstalled. yes; i'm using launch 3.0 etc..making sure i'm not forgeting anything... helpful info: windows 7. drivers/active x match link in knowledgebase. crypt info not checked in adavacne internet options. etc..(trust me when i say i've tried nearly all) btw eq2x no longer on comp w/ dov game. anyhow, after removiing/uninstalling, which gave several errors on its own, eq2x was not trying to leave the comp. i re-installed using CD from retail purchase. after all this & hours later, upon hours later, of system restores, reboot & updating comp & disabling almost everything, launchpad still shows SOE logo before dissappearing yet again. >.< ... still will not get to usename sign in on launchpad. i sent an email, & even waited patiently for a live chat rep, only to be deceived, as no one never came to chat. literally i was the next one in queue for over 3hours. after re-install, not only does launchpad still have same issue, but now i go into files & admin run from folder i.e; exe files etc, & it loads the old EQ2, "sentinel fate" to be exact. this launch worked great, even spent an hour to update, when i clicked play, & started getting my hopes up, it began to load war of zek, (getting more excited) since i have DOV version, promts for my user name & password now at char select. (kinda odd i thought) i place my pass & login info (really excited now) but what do i find... "where the ....heck...are all my toons?" after all this not only does launchpad still wont run, now my toons are missing. it literally is welcoming me to the game like a "rookie." wants me to create a toon from scratch etc....where's my boys/toons my lovely healer etc? i think to myself this has to be a bad joke, i'm very upset obviously, as this is the weekend & i was really looking forward to playing, rather than playing the IT support 101 guy, since everyone is gone for the weekend, & my stuff is whack. any "NEW" suggestions, or just give me the freakin answer altogether that'll be great too. i want my toons, my plat, my gear, my launchpad, all like before. amazing how never had a prob w/ this game, then i sign off for a moment, come back on for warfield and "boom" no launching the pad...pls advise. thanx for all assisting. |

![]() yeah i was having an problem with my second account, so i upgraded to win 7 ultimate, only to have the same problem as OP. Updated windows, updated flash and nothing. I don't understand how after all these years a company as large as SOE can still have these kind of issues with a product thats been out for nearly a decade. Post a solution soon please. |

![]() Same exact problem here both on a new XP install and a new Win7 install. I bet they're working on the launchpad getting ready for the EQ2/EQ2x combine. Well I'm down so please hook a brother up. OH yeah - Dear SOE you're losing money because no new customers can get in either. |

![]() This sometimes happens to me but its really just a delay not the launchpad/game not starting. Next time it happens try this: While waiting for the launchpad to bring up the log in- open your Task Manager *ctrl/shift/c* and look at the processes running. you should see the EQ2 numbers going up slowly... it needs to get to about 800k or so and all of a sudden it will start. I dont know why it does this and other times the launcher loads quickly. I find if I wait patiently for that number to get high enough the launch will in fact load. It just takes time. Hope that helps. |

![]() We are aware of a Flash issue that has caused the disappearing LaunchPad. These are not specific to EQII so I must recommend redirecting these concerns to the LaunchPad forums themselves which I've linked for you. We do apologize greatly for the interruptions and are working on anything on our end that may be contributing. We are not ignoring the issue and the appropriate teams are looking in to it. I'll lock this up for now but please create new threads on contuing issues this morning. LaunchPad forums - http://forums.station.sony.com/stat...?category_id=56
