Is anything going to be done about the housing leaderboards star rating systems (more exact - people being required to visit a house more than once to keep the votes current, but most people don't know this requirement)?  Is anyone working on this?

Questions reguarding the Housing Leaderboards system:

1. Will this system be applied to the DYOD feature comming out with AOD?

2. Is there anything being done to revamp the system? Such as a "Like" only system?

 - Lots of people have suggested moving to just a "Like" system. The competitive aspect of the leaderboards system has caused a lot of hurt and discord in the decorating community. By allowing people to openly rate other's work as crummy, it's opened the door to repeated anonymous harrassment. Many have stated that moving to just a positive reinforcment system makes more sense. You can still receive awards based on how many "likes" obtained, but there is nothing negative about it. Competition and leaderboards make sense over stats you can control yourself (like killing most mobs, doing most quests), but when it's put into the hands of other people sitting around judging you, it's something entirely different.

- As it also stands, players do not want to revisit the same homes to recast their votes in support of places they like. Having 1 vote per account (with a sticking vote) would be much nicer. The percentage on "recent" voted homes as of yesterday was only 10% of the total homes listed on the boards. (see stats here for the 3 servers checked).

3. Is it possible to 'grey out' homes that have allready been visited or give us a way to check them off?

4. Is it possible to break the categories down a bit more? At the very least the "large" category of homes?

 - As of yesterday: AB had 214 homes, Crushbone had 171 homes, and Oasis had 149 homes in large. It's a horridly long list to sort through to find a home you'd like to visit. Would be nice to refine by city, prestige, something.

We've been waiting for some sort of response on this one way or another for quite a while now. Please, any info is appreciated. Thanks!

I'd like to echo the two posts above.

The homeshow community has been looking for more communication with the devs about the Housing Leaderboard system since it was put in place.

The vast majority of the community do not like the system as it stands currently (of course, this is not all...some like it fine, but take a look at the thread in the Homeshow forum if you think the majority are in favor of this current star rating system).

The system right now is in sore need of improvements.  Afista above has outlined the most important things that need addressing.

^This was one of my questions, too.

My second question is:

Awhile back there was a fairly large thread about tradeskillers really wanting a quest series that resulted in a prestige home as a reward, preferably one in Mara.  Is that something that's ever been considered?

Just wanted to point this out to you Jethal after the on air statement last night when directed to the forum for questions and your statement about "See, this is why I asked for all questions to be on Kithicor.org so I'd have them all in 1 place". Nothing here said to post them on your site :p

Thank you for doing the interview though! Appreciate you taking your time to do things like that for the community.
