![]() I'm being very good, in other words I haven't started spitting profanity in frustration. Ever since the launch of Velious (and I know I'm not the only person with this problem) I haven't been able to get into any of the Nek Forrest sub-zones on my own. First- NO I have not reloaded the game. Why not? No point, have the same issue on every other machine I've logged on to, my husbands, my mothers, I believe this is called establishing the problem. Second-I know that this isn't the proper way of "contacting support". I've done I don't know how many bug reports and nothing has happened. I did 2 petitions in the last hour, the little blue thing spins around in a circle and says "submitting" and nothing happens. Also, I'm not going to run up my phone bill to call California from North Carolina to stay on hold for god knows how long. All I'm asking for is help. I have alts that have Heritage Quests that I can't complete becasue I can't get into a zone off Nek Forrest and limiting what I can do is frankly really ticking me off. |

First, you may be using our earliest LaunchPad or have upgraded from it. This may cause some assets to be missing. I've linked our latest LaunchPad for you below. As long as you pick the Full download version and direct it to install a new copy over your existing EQII game folder, then it will not try to re-download files you already have intact. Another cause of a similarly described issue would be shader 3. Some assets do not have the appropriate shader 3 model and may be missing, this includes some of the instance doors. You can disable Shader 3 from your in-game options by clicking Advanced on the top right and expanding the Performance section under Display. Uncheck Shader 3 and restart your client.

![]() I'm not customer support, but can I ask, is the problem that the doors and other zone-ins are not there or not clickable? If so I have a solution for that. For any zone that has this happen (on one of my computers I had this issue occur in multiple zones, everything from doors not being clickable to parts of the ground not being there causing me to fall through the world)... Anyway, go into your everquest folder. Locate the folder called, "paks". Inside of this folder find ALL of the files with the term "Nektulos" and delete them. Re-launch the game and it will force the game to re-download files that are associated with that zone. This has worked for me 100% of the time for every zone that I have had this problem in. (simply change the files you are deleting from nektulos to whatever zone if causing you problems. I have had it happen in nektulos, enchanted lands, and halas) If this isn't the problem you are having, I hope you find the solution to your problem. |

![]() Not to sound snarky or worse, how does "fixing" the one machine have anything to do with all the other machines that I have this problem on? My mother doesn't have this problem on her accounts on her machine, but if I log into my account on her machine I do. |

![]() "Shader 3" is already disabled. I can try to upgrade the launcher as mine didn't change when Velious launched. |

![]() It's not just certain characters, it's the whole account, both accounts actually. I just have the same problem whether I'm playing on my computer or someone elses. |

![]() Reload of Launcher and Game from SOE site appears to have fixed the problem, can now access sub-zones off of Nek Forrest. Thank you for your help |
