![]() Look out for griffon ride bugs - taking a Griffon from Darklight to BBM I got dumped into the sea at the point the griffon zones in - no big deal, just a big swim. The next griffon ride to Timorous Deep did the same thing - but over land, and instant death. |

![]() I've seen this with the flight from G.D. (lol @ filter) to EW as well- one of my toons makes the flight, the other always ends up swimming the last bit. Devs, if you try to replicate, bear in mind that this is something you may need to try with more than one toon before you will see it occur. |

![]() G/D (sorry for the slash as those two letters together are a censored word) to EW is a ride you know will likely end in a swim. The best one I have found though is as my Fae... if you use the druid ring into BB while in flight form you drown. Yep, knee deep water that you zone in underneath. If your zoning isn't quick you arrive quite dead.

Odd. I've taken that flight many times (with no mount, ground mount and flying mount active) and never taken a swim. I have noticed, though, that I do fall a bit after zoning before the gryphon renders and I pop back up to the flight path and continue. It may be if rendering's slow enough the gryphon never renders before you hit the water. I also make it a point to not touch any movement or action keys until I'm safely flying again, I'm not sure if trying to move or jump while falling will glitch the rendering process or not. |

I always end up in the water going to EW from G/D or in the other direction - G/D to EW. Always. |

The fall I think is part of the hint. I know I am around 400ms ping away from the datacentres. I also did notice that the G/D to EW transition is far far worse on the streaming client. I am down to 60% swimming with the full download. The BB zonein for Fae in flightform is pretty much always a death sentance though.

I don't think it's network-related. If you're using the streaming client, it slows down zoning considerably. My guess is there's something special on those routes that has you "in zone" before the attachment is made to your legs for the gryphon. If you're zoning fast it's no problem, but slow zoning leaves you minus the travel attachment resulting in the fall. The streaming client would make it lethally worse. My advice would be to abandon the streaming client and get the full download version from http://launch.soe.com/eq2/ |
