![]() I don't know if it bugs anyone other than me, but when you go into 1st person view have you ever noticed that you get a view like youre only 2 feet tall? I think that if it's possible we should have that view scale to the actual height of the character and not get a POV from their knees... |

![]() This isn't something I've noticed myself. When I'm a Fae my POV is quite low - but when I throw on an Erudite or Barbarian illusion it raises up a good bit. When I put on a Wood Elf illusion, it's somewhere in the middle. |

YES! It drives me nuts as I like to play in first person, but this often forces me into third. It may not be 2 feet for all races, but its like your head is in your chest. A similar problem occurs when on mounts as well. edit: I noticed this a bit less recently, but I can't say whether I've adapted or the problem as been worked on. I do know I feel forced into third more than I would like. I'm not sure EQ2 has ever been as first person friendly as EQ was when I played it. In EQ you could see your arms as you fought if you were playing in first. For me, it was far more immersive than 3rd person.

![]() This happens to me in raids on my fae dirge. When raid is near a wall and you have to go into first person view, your two feet tall and staring at everyones pet. You have to go to the front of the raid just to see the fight. If you try to third person view the fight the camera turns with each add and all you see is wall. It's really irritating. Just last night a guildy asked me if there is a way to /shrinkraid. Coincidentally she is also a fae. /cutemode does nothing to help this either. Edit: I should add I have tried Giant illusions that make you bigger as well as clickies and other baubles. Same thing.... two feet tall. This is also still a problem when swimming, however, it's much better in the water than it use to be. |

![]() There's a camera joint that is supposed to be postioned in front of your characters heads. It sounds like they are inheriting animation that is making them move.

I did know that thank you. But for 1 out of 10 fights that I am inconvenienced, it's better for me to leave it on. Assisting thru someone else and having that feature on is much easiers for scouts. I know I cant have the best of both worlds, so I chose the option that is used the most. |

Yes, I have noticed that but it doesn't seem weird as I am only about 3 feet tall. I always thought that the height of your first person view was based on the height of your character. |

![]() i play exclusively in first person on my healer, but i have scrolled out from time to time when needed. Ive noticed the 2ft tall syndrome before and the usual cause is moving as soon as you land offof a griffon or some other public transport. Your camera will be low i guess because youre in crouch mode and it will stay low until you stop, then it rights itself, and then youre good. Very rarely will it happen at other times, and usually scrolling out and back or moving around a bit fixes it.

![]() I think that "low viewpoint" effect is more an optical illusion than the camera really being too low. I suspect in third-person you normally have the camera positioned a ways above your character, looking down slightly so you can see the ground in front of them over their head. In first-person the camera's level with the head and looking forward level and even, which'll look odd if you're used to a high third-person view. |

![]() For a male erudite in non-soga, the view point zooms in and out at chest level. Highly annoying. Particularly annoying when swimming. It is worse when on a mount or swimming. |

![]() x82nd77, that's exactly what I'm talking about, I play a very tall high elf and when I zoom into first person I can see the camera heading into the character's knees, thus making something appear taller than me, when im 5x taller in 3rd person |

![]() Original model gnome female has the belly button view when on a horse. Seems fine while unmounted though. |
