What is the exact error message?  Does it simply say Unable to Connect?  If that is the case, let's start with checking a security setting that has been causing this to occur for many players.

Please click Start > Control Panel > Internet Options > Advanced Tab > Scroll through the settings to the security section > Uncheck the box that reads "Do not save encrypted pages to disk" > Click Apply/OK.  Restart your LaunchPad and let me know if the issue persists.

Our server also logged some network security errors so make sure any antivirus is also disabled or any other security software suites.
