![]() I have been recently having some trouble with EQ2 in regards to not being able to load zones or even the character select screen. When I log in it will go to the loading screen and start "Caching appearances" after a few moments I get "Everquest II has detected an unrecoverable error and must be shutdown. (5219): ERROR - Appearance cache is invalid. 00cd20dc5c657669" I had been wanting to restore my computer to factory settings for a while now, so when this problem arose I did so, then I reinstalled EQ2 as well. (All updates for my computer have been downloaded) I have Windows 7 with 3GB RAM and 1GB VRAM 500GB HDD...I had been playing EQ2 on this computer for nearly 2 years, nothing has changed. Can anyone help me out here? Also I have been using the streaming launcher, I have always used the streaming launcher even before I ever ran into any problems. |

![]() Are you making sure you launch the LaunchPad as an administrator? I would also make sure you have exceptions configured in your Windows Firewall or any antivirus/security software you might have present or disable them altogether. Make sure to clear the Cache folder out as well (just delete it) when you initially run in to issues just to rule out a potential corrupt file.

![]() I'm using the streaming EQ2 client and recently I started getting this error. As soon as I hit play and when I see the loading bar I always start off downloading 23mb. This will lower but usually go back up to 23mb then display the fatal error. I tried clearing out my cache and ran eq2 streaming client under admin and still no luck. What else can I do to play this game? |
