Seem to be having issues related to extremely low volume/sound in-game

I have absolutely no idea why, but over the past couple of days my in-game volume has been reduced to near dismal levels. My in-game options for sound have not been touch since I began playing EverQuest 2 several months ago. My sound/volume in game was always loud and crisp, but ever since a few days ago, for whatever reason the sound was reduced to extremely low levels, of which was not my own doing.

My computer, in terms of hardware and drivers have not changed one single bit. Every other program, game or application I use that involves sound is perfect. The levels of volume are exactly as they should be the ONLY program/game/application I have having this problem with is EverQuest 2 which leads me to believe something in-game occured that has negatively affected my in-game volume.

I have tried every single option for sound in-game, but my efforts were futile as no changes were made to the dismally low volume/sound in my game and I am reaching the point of extreme annoyence because...I simply can't hear anything in game now. I have no idea what happened, but I feel strongly that whatever occured to ruin my in-game volume/sound was not my own doing. I have been playing EverQuest for several months and never had any issues with sound/volume up until a few days ago. Everything else on my computer has zero issues relating to sound/volume - only EverQuest 2.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I should also mention that I am NOT running any sort of UI, or UI extension.
