KoS Cloud Mount Quest Line ("Follow the Bot") Bugged?

While doing the KoS cloud mount quest line on my sk today I noticed that I could not progress beyond "Follow the Bot". The quest says to go to the scavenger isle, once there the bot will deploy on its own and you must take it to the wizard spires. However, when I arrive at the isle, the bot does not deploy nor does the quest update. I've tried running to the spires, running all over the isle to try to trigger it and even deleted/picked the quest back up multiple times. My only guess is that this part of the quest line is currently bugged.

I've got the same thing!

Actually theres a load of people on my server all running about on the platform trying to make it pop, but nothings happening! How do we report this?!

I'm having the same issue for the quest. I already bugged it in game but havent got a respond yet, so I'm hoping someone takes notice here and fix it soon.

I can take a look at it. I know it was working before this last patch and I didn't think anyone had touched it for this patch but that doesn't mean it isn't broken SMILEY

Well, if he wants it to disappear into the ether never to be heard nor seen of again, that's certainly the way to do it.

Want an example?

Placing the rods in the Draco Mortuus vos Liberatio Heritage Quest. This has been bugged since inception. Has been /bugged by many players and never addressed.

Once you press send on a bug report in game that's the last you'll see of it and, more often than not, it'll not get fixed. The abiding sentiment is that if you want something fixed, these forums are the place to go.

BTW, I /bugged something 2 days ago. Let's see how long it takes to get fixed. See you back in a year or two to say "I told you so".

Same for me - went through various ways of getting around it before sending in a petition.

The response was as follows.

I'm sorry to hear that you're having some trouble with this quest. It looks like you're not alone with this problem. There seems to be a problem with this quest. We've forwarded this information along to our development and QA teams for some further investigation. I would suggest keeping an eye on the patch notes for any changes.

So I'm waiting for that patch now SMILEY

same here finally decided to do this quest with my new guys im leveling and low and behold first time i do it. its broke and cant get update.. i mean really.. seems everything is broken. warping still ... today i was killing mobs in tt and the droag werent even talking in there chat bubble it said "use existing draconic garbled" i mean come on...

I guess this is still bugged? I tried this today, and even ran all around the island to look for the trigger spot but no luck... SMILEY I really need some armor upgrades!

Sorry folks, it took a bit longer than expected to nail this one down but I did find the issue and it should be included in tomorrow's hotfix(Friday July 1st).

So you get to Vultak Isle and you get the update but the bot doesn't show up? I tested this and it showed up fine and I was able to lead him to the Barren Sky portal for the update with no issues. Are you guys doing anything different?

I get the quest than head to vultak isle but the quest doesnt update when I get to the isle, so the bot never shows up.

How are you gettign there? teleport pad? Flying mount? Summon? Has anyone gotten the quest to update correctly. It may be possible the hotfix didn't pull the affected files correctly.

exactly same as guess. No bot so can't lead it to barren sky portal. i have ran around the Vultak isle just in case it the bot appears somewhere else but nothing.

I deleted quest and then got it again, same result.

Thats really odd I am seeing in the logs that players are completing the quest. What server are you on?

Just logged in and completed the quest (Unrest). Bot spawned as soon as I zoned in via cloud from TT. Completed the quest and got my gloves.

Thanks for fixing this! Now I can work through the rest of the quest line during the long weekend
