I just tried patching EQ2 through the Station Launcher after about 2 months out and I recieved this message

There was a problem decompressing the file C:Program FilesSony Online EntertainmentInstalled GamesEverQuest IIlp_tempLegendsOfNorrathLegendsOfNorrath.dll_delt a_10509_126.gz.

Station launcher will try again after 5 seconds.

The only thing I can do is let it keep trying (and failing) or stop the patch. Any ideas what's going on here? Thanks in advance.

Same issue here.

EQ2 is installed in ProgramData on Win7 so there should be no permission issues like when it used the old program files location.

Can't play the game until this is fixed... and running as admin is not a valid answer for ProgramData on Win7, or Vista for that matter.

Worked fine until the security breach.

*** EDIT: problem fixed ***

I figured out my issue: some time after the last update the EQ2 folder in ProgramData was marked completely read-only. I didn't do that so I can only assume the launcher or the game did it.

I set the permissions back like they were originally and its fine now, launcher updated, etc.
