Ok, so after reading the forum posts about not being able to use the original launcher due to it being phased out, I installed the streaming launcher from the website. Launch the game, manage to do a small patch, then all resources take FOREVER to load to actually allow you in the game. Once in the game, all UI settings, hot keys, everything has been reset to default?

What gives?

The installation uses a new folder.  If you want to move over your UI settings from your previous installation, you simply need to move the UI folder and your UI files relating to your character (any files in the old Everquest II folder that has your name on it, move that as well).  The LaunchPad should have installed the game to C:UsersPublicSony Online EntertainmentInstalled GamesEverquest II unless specified otherwise.

I'm having issues with the launcher installing files at end. It causes the patch to fail. I am a Windows 7 user if that helps any. What could I do to get things working normally again and get into the game?

I looked on our end for your connection attempts and I do see 2048 errors which are typically network security related, such as a firewall or antivirus locking the game files.

You will need to ensure that any firewalls, anti-virus, or security suite software such as Norton or McAfee, have been disabled.  We'll start with Windows Firewall.  You will need to click on Start > Control Panel > Windows Firewall > Turn Windows Firewall on or off > check OFF for each section.
