![]() i used to like to fight mobs with intended target set of mobs, but hate those "wandering, greyed-out mob/mobs" get in too close for auto multi-attacks and i dont like adding unneeded unwanted mobs. you cant do that when if you are faction zone trying to avoid hitting wrong mob. it happen alot in Ry'Gorr Keep, i have to yell several times when unavoidable bad pull, breaking up or faction will suffer. Multi-attacks isnt made for auto-attacks! i remember why Blackbeard/Meanbeard once said during early years of eq2, they said it wont work because of mobs wandering too close might get in combat. that why they wont put in multi-attacks for auto-mode. they were designed for special AoE attack skills. they should switch into "Multi-Hits" to a single target in auto-attack mode. |

![]() Correct me if I am wrong, but it's not the Multi-Attack that is doing the AoE attack. It's something else. [Edit] Could you be talking about AE Autoattack Chance?

Yeah it must be AE chance that every fighter or swashy and probably other classes could get from AA. MA is single target. In fact if you have AE %, I believe the other targets in your range doesn't get MA. I think they only get hit once. I have not look closely at parse but when I killed the first target, the rest are usually still at 3/4 hp... that tells me my MA didn't work on them. As for AE being risky, it is really not that risky. Unless you put in AA for the increased AE range, the range is really quite small. In fact the AE range is smaller than aggro range. So the only time you will hit unintentional target is when there is an non-aggro but attackable mob very very close to where you are fighting. The biggest risk I can see is if you have a mezzer in the group. Now that would be a problem. :p |

![]() Mutli-attack is definitely not going to cause you to hit multiple mobs. It is going to hit the same mob multiple times. However, all Scouts and Fighters have AA and gear that give them AE auto attack. So if you are aggroing friendly mobs then it is either because you have cast an AOE spell or because of AE auto attack. You should be able to turn off your AE auto attack buff. I don't know what happens when you have AE auto attack adornments though. The other issue is that some spells are AOE when you don't realize it. For example, SKs have a spell Hateful Respite that protects against damage from one attack. However, it also terminates with an AOE damage and aggro effect. |

I know I've had to turn off the Guardian ability that has a chance to AoE when attacking. Some places I didn't want to pull the non-aggro mobs.

![]() Yeah, was going to say, just turn off the buff that's giving you the AE auto effect (Trample, Hurricane, ect..) When it comes to gear with AE auto on it, that's more tricky since you can not turn it off but you can swap out that piece of gear for a fight if needed. |

![]() BTW, killing most of the Ry'Gorr orcs actually does not lower your Ry'Gorr faction, at least for the ones that I killed. I haven't tried the non-aggro ones, but killing the aggro ones outside the keep does nothing to faction at all. |
