![]() Heya guys! I just wanted to let you know that as I shut down the EXP07 prelude event, I'm adding the books available on it to the merchant lists for the sages in Freeport and Qeynos, so they'll be available if you didn't get a chance to run through the event. Also, I FINALLY added part three of the Zul'Urid story to the merchant lists as well - I had meant to do this ages ago, but kept forgetting to do so (I'm old! What'cha going to do?), but it's up there now. Anyway, let me know if there's anything that should be there that isn't, and I'll look into it, and will get anything that needs to be there up. Hopefully before the NEXT prelude event in any case. Anyway, just a heads up for you all - especially you book collectors.

![]() Cronyn, I personally feel like your MS paint drawings should be added into the game world, as paintings. |

Both! The complete "Researcher's Notes" from EXP06 should be there, and the books from the Duality quest line should be, too. Vinyard@Antonia Bayle wrote:
Ha! That would be awesome. I think the art leads would murder me in the face if I snuck those in. And I'd have to sneak them in, because they'd murder me in the face if I asked. EDIT: Ugh... our message board is straight up dumb sometimes. That or I am. Probably the latter.

![]() Huzzah!! Oh this is wonderful news! And here I was whimpering because I thought book collectors had been forgotten! Many thanks Cronyn! [EDIT] Wanted to clear up a few questions I've heard floating around regarding the news. Personally I am just ecstatic to know you all still think about us book collectors! 1) Are we getting the rest of the Researcher's Notes series, or just having the volume 3 book added to the Sage? 2) Are we getting the collected notes you mentioned forminever ago here? 3) Basically what folks want to know is, are we getting previous books through Sage-ly means, or previous books *and* new books through Sage-ly means? |

![]() Sorry Aurelis, I didn't even see this edit! The books I'm adding are: "Assistant Researcher's Notes, Vol. 3" (1 and 2 are already up there) "a charred book" "Mistmoore Researcher's Logbook" "Writings of the Deepwater Knights" The collected notes I had totally intended to do, but I am lame and I spaced it. I'll make the book right now, but it won't make it in for Velious release - right now, QA has their hands full, and they would murder my face if I dropped non-Velious content on them. So yeah, those four books, plus one more once I feel safe from the wrath of QA.

![]() It's perfectly fine! The edit was belated. I'm really tentative about double-posting, so I hoped the edit might get caught. And it did! All right - thank you for the clarification! YAY to the collected notes! Take your time. We're patient folk! We have to be, what with the drop rates on 'em... hehehe |

![]() Just a heads up. The "Collected Writings of a Mysterious Erudite" is made and attached to the vendors lists. However, expect it at the next major game update, so probably GU 60. Sorry that took so long! You guys should be able to get it soon, though.

![]() Thanks Cronyn! Again, better late than never. I'd like to think I can speak for the majority of book collectors if I go ahead and say "We as a (near) whole just love new books whenever we can get them!" (: |

![]() So, on that note, I need you to remind me of something. I *think* there was a list of broken, incomplete, or unobtainable books that I was given or someone pointed me to at one point, but I can't remember for certain. Am I remembering that correctly? If such a list exists, can you point me to it? I want to make sure those books are in and available if they are intended to be.

I'm glad I printed this list out and held onto it. Game Update #37 mentioned the addition of many new books into the game, but the players soon found out that they didn't exist, nor were we given any info on where to find them. The Chilling Terror The Felling of the Ice Wyrm Greshvoule The Ice Queen The Kromise The Lady and the Scamp Lost Treasures of Norrath Preacher Story - Thex'ka V Preacher Story - Thex'ka IV Preacher Story - Thex'Ka III I also hear that "Horguz" and "The Pawn" were taken out of the game, removed from Runnyeye, along with "Rememberances: Norrath" and "Telanius Menonius Ledger - Warmstill" from the Obelisk of Lost Souls. Yes, here we go. http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/...topic_id=374467 Mention that those books should be dropping more frequently, but some of them never existed in the first place. |

![]() There's a VERY cool looking book graphic that is sadly MIA that sure would look mighty nice with one of the new books... sadly, I forget the name offhand, but it looks like the Tome of Destiny from the original storybook intro -- an open book with elaborate art and caligraphy (the art is ingame, you can even link it... but the art attributes are unused). Aurelis prolly knows the one I'm talking about |

![]() Oh sweety if you want a list of books, I can make you regret that request right away. Expect a PM shortly. (: Cusashorn has pointed out a handful of books (which I refer to as the "Mysterious Missing Permafrost Books") that book collectors have been dying for and I have tried to bring up at every opportunity I can -- including dev chats and ZAM's IRC whenever a dev pops in and makes me feel like giving them a headache. There are also many, many more! Yes Iskandar! You are referring to an opened ornate book - aITEM -1846573967 -953234139:an opened ornate book/a A LOVELY graphic that I enjoy teasing book collectors with... in a sadistic sort of way (: |

That's the one! Take a look at that book, Cronyn! Be one with it... picture it in your home, sitting on an elegant sumac desk, the crackle of a riverstone hearth behind you, and on the wind you hear the faintest of whispers carried from its' pages... ![]() So, Aurelis sent me a giant list of broken books, which I'm going through now. Right off the bat, I found that I needed to make a code request to allow books to process a quest reference, because a couple of these actually are supposed to increment quests. They can do so through dialog, but that means I couldn't set these up in the new format. Anyway, I'm just seeing where these are now and how you were supposed to get them in the first place, and how they need to be distributed now. Plus nearly all of these will likely need to be converted to the new format. I'll let you guys know once I've got the work parsed out and have some idea what I'm going to be doing.

![]() Oh this is very good news. I'm very much looking forward to seeing this implemented. It's the sort of content I pay special attention to, so I'll be watching for news of when this hits Test in any form. -= Therendil =-
