Are there any lore-established children's stories/characters or fairy tales? Whether it's an actual, ownable book or just something mentioned that exists only conceptually. Just asking for use in a story (specifically, for a character who loves to read). I can make up my own, but I prefer to use canon stuff where possible. Thanks in advance.

Actually, there are a couple.

One of the... well, rather dark and extremely twisted stories relates to the Shadowmen. It comes from the Obelisk of Lost Souls.

The Lyresmith Poetry Collection - Children's Rhymes

There are some Riddle books from the Temple of Cazic Thule pertaining to the Amygdalans... A few other stories like The Littlest Hill Giant are presented like childrens books, and the Frostfell books are brilliantly illustrated.

Thanks, I like those Pirate Queen books. Thanks also for the link; I can search more there.I'm mostly interested in sort of "action" books, tales of heroes, that sort of thing. From perusing that site, it seems The Trials of Sir Morgan might be what I'm looking for as well. Or perhaps I could go further into the past and just use stories about Firiona Vie or something (the character is a girl who will eventually become a Paladin of Tunare). I'll keep looking around; thanks again.

Don't forget the Frostfell Books.

You also might consider some of the Jorbo and Morpy books from various zones. There are also a lot of verbal stories given in quest texts that could be considered fairy tales. Try the Gfay signature quest line "whisper in the wind". Or the many tales involving the War of the Fae from various quests.

Hrrm...

I was always fond of The Blood of the Bear, though I'm not sure if that's fable or not...  It has some action-y stuff in it!

The Three Keys have always been a personal favorite.  Not a lot of action, but a neat story overall.
