I m speaking of the lovely druid tree, of the faerie ally, of the lunar mystic attendant, of the mystic dog. It's not exhaustive at all, i loved too the necro armies, the warden wolf pack, the brigand army of thieves.

It's quite bad to see all those funny aspect of the game totally neglected for pure brute force. I remember the good time of late kunark during which the shaman dog was actually on the heal parse with the warden allies, at time during which pet swarms were also valid dps bursts.

Wildly excessive increases in dps through bad itemization are to blame for the swarm pets. Due to the mechanic of how they work they don't receive player stats and so do really piddly amounts of damage.

Yup. Swarm pets are balanced around the player and pet not receiving any form of stat increase whatsoever. The monent you gain a little bit of increase, the pets become useless.

Not to mention they die almost instantly and are some of the longest casting spells /boggle.

Paladin MYTHICAL Clicky has been the biggest amount of fluff I've ever seen - to have not necesserily a class defining spell but one which is "nice against green mobs" is a real slap in the teeth when considering the the vast array of options which coudl have been chosen.

As the above it is a pet; which means its damage output is completely not in scale with the casting/power portion of the spell meaning its fluff.
