When I am in the game playing I am missing a lot of tells from people becauase instead of going to me, they go to a station launcher window.  For example I might be playing as "Fallendrake" and instead of the message going to my chat window, it shows up on the desktop in a station chat window.  It's not consistent either: might do it for one message or one person and not another.

Probably related, if people send me a tell to a character which is not in the game, instead of it telling them I'm not online, it pops up a station chat window.  This makes people think I'm online with that toon and ignoring them.

I want to be able to use station chat, but when I'm in the game it is not desirable for it to intercept my messages.  This has resulted in more than one serious misunderstanding.

Is this a known issue?

Any ideas on how to stop it or control it, or should I just try to disable station chat completely?
