Volume fix won't work

Hello

I have windows 7 64 bit. I noticed yesterday after I installed the game after a reformat that the voice chat options at the bottom says my mic setting is low but when I push the button to fix it won't do anything at all. I know it use to. So how do I fix it? It runs fine otherwise. I can hear and everyone can hear me no problem. More a cosmetic annoyance.
