![]() I have a character that is using chat channel 3 and 8 for the old 80 channel. It shows up in custom channels for some reason. They are unchecked. I am unable to delete them as they dont exist when i use the /channellist command, but when i use the /setchannelnumber command it says i cant becuse those channels already exist. Have also tryed the /leaveall command and it wont delete channel 3 and 8. Is there any way to delete these channels? I found where they are listed in my character files but cant delete them. |

![]() To be able to delete those files you are looking at, you have to open that file with something like Notepad or if the file is too big for that you can use Wordpad. Once you open it with that you will be able to just go to that line and remove what is needed and you should be good to go. |

![]() Look for a file named Server_Character_eq2_uisettings.xml in your EQ2 program directory. Open that file in WordPad and look for " |

If you aren't comfortable editing files, try /leaveall, THEN CAMP TO DESKTOP. Log back in and you should have all your channels free. I have done this numerous times. /leaveall and then immediately trying to rejoin channels doesn't work, but camping all the way out to desktop will save your character file, and generally does so without any channels.

![]() Thanks for all the answers. I will try camping out after leaveing all the channels first. I am semi ok with messing with files just not ones that they make tough to delete. thanks again for the info. |
