![]() I have a problrm with the whole batrtle groungd concept. why should peopel who can't accomplish raids be allowed to aquire raid equivilent gear without the skills required to sucecced in raids. I can bang out BG zones for hours to get better gear so I can be ubber in t9 raids but what is the progress. I don't have to be successful in BG to get the gear just have to go so many times to get the shards - no skill involved in that. Just say'in that BG has left a bad taste for any skilll involved for high end players - will dtill keep on goin there becuse that's where the easy gear is but somethings wromg with that. |

Except if you try and use BG gear on the later mobs in the raid zones you'll die easily because you have no crit mit

If you are such a "skilled high-end player"....why are you interested in going where the "easy gear" is? And why are you so concerned about what other players are able to attain? Let's face it...there is some skill involved in high end raiding but it is mostly a function of 1) ability to follow basic instructions communicated in vent and 2) time sink required to gear up / gather AA. So, please get over it with the "I gots skillz and you don'ts" schtick. |

Absolutely. As you say raids are time sinks, fairly mindless and repetative. Regardless of class you generaly have only one function to preform. A tank positions the mob and spams the taunts and doesnt think about anything else. Healer keeps the tank alive. Dps dps's. You dont have to wory about most of your spells, root, mez, stun, charm, fear, turn, etc typicaly dont work in raids. I would have been more impressed had you said you were a skilled high-end solo player. For that you need to intimately know all your spells and use them all, to have all the appropriate crafted items (poisons potions totems etc) and use them appropreatly. Also to be a crafter and a tinkerer to get access to more abilities. Then to be able to take on hard mobs hard zones even to solo heroic instances at propper level. To not need to depend on 23 other players to do 95.83% of the work for you. "I gots skillz and you don'ts" LOL i would suspect that a portion of these high-end raiders dontz got da skillz, they gotz the gearz but they couldnt solo thier way out a paper bag. They dont have half thier spells on the hot bar and couldnt name half thier spells and never read the indepth description of any of thier spells. |
