![]() truancy debuff only hurts honest players 99% of the time due to EQ2 crashing why would anyone leave a bg if losing and not get 1 medal?? not getting a medal due to crashing is a penalty as it is. it is obvious not a lot of thought went into how the truancy debuff effects the general population please remove truancy debuff |

![]() It sucks for the honest folks. The game crashed in 4 matches last night. In 3 of them, my team was about 20 seconds from winning. No win, no reward and a nice truancy debuff to add insult to injury. Again, it sucks. |

![]() what advantage if they leave the game they get no token thats punishment enough the game crashing and costing the honest players tokens is highly unfair not to mention truancy added truancy adds to player frustration, why the game does not hold your bg gamespot till you relog is pathetic programming |

One comment how does the game know your coming back? And i think keep the Truancy debuff but only for those voted AFK and make it increase in length each time you get AFK truancy, 15, 30, 45 mins and so on. |

The truancy debuff only hits people who are not trying to take advantage of the system. Truancy should only ever go on players who have been voted out of a game. And lets be honest. If someone is actually afk long enough to be voted out of a game with the current [Removed for Content] voting system, they wont even know they had 5 minutes of truancy when they get back. |

No it doesn't. I leave groups sometimes if I happen to be stuck with a bunch of utter failboats. Since they're usually even worse off without me trying to heal them then it's probably a fitting punishment. If anything needs to be fixed it's the lame voting system. The vote range needs to be zonewide and people moving around needs to NOT cancel the vote. I am sick of not being able to get rid of hackers or people that are semi-AFK.

Not sure where you got this info, but the vote range is zonewide and moving doesn't count towards activity. The truancy debuff is there to keep people from bailing if they don't like the group make-up to just start a new match. Maybe a few people do it anyway, but its not a widespread problem. If we removed it, it would be. The issue is the crashing and that needs to be fixed. If you didn't crash out, you wouldn't care about the truancy debuff. As far as getting back in, the system does give you time to get your space back, but its basically the time it takes for you to go linkdead. If you can get back in quick enough, you'll get your space back otherwise your space will be backfilled. We should have increased the linkdead timer on BG worlds to make it a little easier to get back in but perhaps it could be lengthened more. |

![]() I've always thought the Truancy debuff should be longer...at 5 minutes, you can probably still join a Smugglers match, decide you don't like your team, and then try to rejoin the match once truancy is up and hope you get on the winning team, heh. |

![]() I really, really, really hate the truancy debuff. About 1 in 20 BG matches the server stops responding and when it finally drops me to character select, I hit play, but have never been put back into my match. Besides missing out on getting the token I would have won, I am insulted with this stupid truancy debuff, further wasting my time and effort for an EQII bug. |

Was the range changed recently then? For weeks when I would right click a players name in the group window the option to vote them would be greyed out and the tooltip would say "too far away". I had to be practically standing on top of them for the option to be clickable. As far as movement canceling a vote, it seemed to me like the only time the group was successful at booting someone is if they stayed perfectly still long enough for a few people to get close to apply a vote. Either way it's still unacceptable that we can't even kick a player who is using a speed hack.

![]() Apparently the Zone wide vote is in internal testing because I have yet to be able to vote anyone AFK zone wide on the live servers without getting a "Out of Range" message and I was just in a ganak match where we had a player afk in ganak that was extremely hard to get to and when you tried to vote him afk from a distance you still got a "Out of range message" |

I was under the presumption that the requirement to be right next to the person was by design. I'm glad to hear that it's not. This is the reason that people use hacks to get below the world. If you'd like screenshots of some examples, please PM and I'm happy to send them over. Thanks for the future work of getting this to function as you intend it. |

![]() bad idea, don't remove it. This is the first game where people don't jump in and jump out until they get a perfect group |
