I haven't played EQ2 since around the time Faydwer came out. I just started playing again, and I am trying to sort out my graphics settings. My computer has been upgraded a LOT since I played last, and the game is running silky smooth on the maximum preset, but the following questions are nagging me.

* I did try to search for answers, but I am finding that searching this forum is just producing a lot of very old threads, usually in the 2004-2006 time frame. I want to know where we stand today.

1. I still don't see any options for Anti-Aliasing or Anisotropic Filtering in-game. I remember there were apparently problems with these options back at release. Have they still not been implemented properly?

2. Did they ever add an in-game Framerate display, or do I still need to use Fraps to examine my performance?

3. Under shadow options I see the option of GPU and CPU shadows, but so far I have noticed little or no difference between them. What is the difference? Which is better visually and which is better for performance? Is one of them buggy or problematic?

4. Those same shadow options mention shader 3.0, but I dont see any option to change my shader settings. Is there some trick to this?

5. On the subject of newer graphics options, did they ever add support for DX10 or DX11? I am guessing not, but EQ1 always liked to stay up-to-date on the latest version of DX, so I'd think EQ2 would too.

6. I may be mistaken on this, but I seem to recall that EQ2 capped your framerate at 30fps. Is this still the case, or never the case?
