I have gotten a bit tired of the dorky look of my lvl 88 Erudite conj.

Are there any consequences of changing the race and what race would be a good replacement?

Thanks!

As far as I know there is not a penalty to changing race from good to good...which is what you would be doing to stay a conji I think. I haven't done any race changes, you see SMILEY

As for what race? Really I don't think race means anything anymore other than a few fluff spells...ie elves w/slowfall and so on. You can get al tnhe effects the race fluff spells have with gear.

So......play what you like and have fun! You will be the only one having to look at your character for any length of time...so pick one out you like and have a grand time with it.

I went half-elf for the power regen, harvesting-time-decrease and tracking..

Happy, stayed there...

For they are lovable, and puntable

Most of the racial traits are small perks that will have little impact on your class itself.  I recommend you just look at the racial traits to find those that you find most interesting.  Personally I like my High Elf's glide ability, but I find the half elf tracking quite interesting for questiong/farming.  But in the end, none will have any significant impact on the conjuror itself as a class (except maybe in the lower tiers).

If you ask me, the "best" race is one with +3% max HP, +INT, and +Physical Mitigation racial traditions. I believe those choices are Iksar, Human, and Half Elf.

However, I've been a day 1 Dark Elf Conjuror (since my character was created in November 2004), and I've loved every minute of it.
