Now, After having done a million changes and setting trying to get the system from crashing an issue that miracoulusely disapeard as soon as the BG where taken of line yesterday I decided to start with a clean slate and wipe my drive and do a clean install...now what a mistake that was....

After going through all the hassle to install XP, update all drivers and make sure it is stable I tried to install EQ@ via the internet...nada the patcher just sits there and dl the same set of files over and over...so I installed it from the disk..I hate that station launcher it a piece of you know what. I like being able to log into my character directly without going through the character select screen...but that can be fixed later.

What is really annoying is that suddently I can NOT target anymore with my left mouse and do one click actions...yes I know where to set that up in the UI under options it is there but it does NOT work. I have to right click on mobs, nodes or NPCs and then I can do the action...whats up with that? Is this a server wide problem or just again a few because something else is broken in the code? I have done full file scanns, deleted the cache folder afain and so on but to no avail. anybody have any insight?

The issue has been solved thanks to an in game mail..not thanks to SOE customer support that has been absent since the majority of problems started.

It was a missing key in the UI that somehow got scrambled and not redone even though I reinstalled the game.

Just in case someone experience this in the future: check thet the second key in...

option>controls>command keys>  value: trigger default actions, is set to the left mouse button..the first value should be

the "f" key for most.
