Holy Avenger does not work on Repentance / Vengeance and Heresy??

Are these spells not considered hostile spells?

Adept 3s are at 26 percent resistance... should they be 36?

It does not appear anything updates the resistance on these spells.

Is this just a UI bug -- it not showing the changes -- or are these spells resistance not modifiable?

I think they are hostile spells, but not attack spells. The good thing is, that they do not trigger many reactive shields. The bad thing is that they also do not trigger many damage procs. As I'm more happy about doing some damage without being stuned / stifled / dazed / feared, then doing more damage if not stuned / stifled / dazed / feared, I like it that way.
